Except it's already that way among a fuck ton of Twitch indies. Two examples off the top of my head are Lucy Pyre and el_XoX. Other examples are any other indie we've seen complain about being banned then we see the clips/stream and it was ACTUALLY deserved per ToS.
The problem is that by pushing it front-and-centre on a mainstream awards show, it goes from something a couple of random whores are doing to something that's actively being encouraged.
The thing is going from ToS-safe lewdtubing to the kind of lewdtubing that requires an adults-only platform is very much crossing a line. I find Shylily etc.'s streams where they use provocative models and joke about their boobs all the time to be trashy, but I could reasonably buy that their fans are just watching it as dumb mindless entertainment. Once they're on Fansly giving ASMR blowjobs or whatever that plausible deniability's gone, it's porn, and it's making that one particular big step a normal part of being a vtuber rather than something only a very small handful of outliers do that I'm not happy about.
It's this to a degree -
- but also there is some crossover in audience interests, at least in the early days of a vtuber escalating. We've seen Menace becoming more explicit since getting her new big titty model, and while it's not a 1:1 overlap, there will be people in her audience who initially found her through horror game streams who are more than happy to indulge in her sexual ASMRs, which just makes it blend in as another one of her vtuber activities.

Fair points here and I agree, but again, we got thru that three years ago and the only thing you can do as a consumer now is choose what you want to watch yourself. And the act of fansly choosing to present zatsu instead of whores this year is an attempt to slowly clean up their image due to recent payment processor chimpouts.
