Who is more conservative between JK Rowling, Terry Goodkind and Brandon Sanderson? Who gets all the hate? There is a lesson there. People who you assume will agree with every aspect of your tribe but instead set boundaries are treated worse than people who aren't aligned to begin with.

I've mentioned before that a lot of the current left's tactics are often the exact same tactics used by cults. The immediate hostility towards people that disagree from within is another classic cult tactic. It's all about ensuring they don't inspire others to question the cult. This is important as all movements are determined by not so much the first person to make a move but by the second person that joins them, thus displaying to others that it is okay to join them in what they're doing. If you immediately attack that first person with such ferocity that it heavily discourages anyone from being that second person to join them, that person is now isolated and treated as a weirdo. Now that cult has completely defeated the concern of people questioning the cult too much by reshaping the situation into one guy being found out to be a weirdo that isn't worth listening to. It could be two years later and that person that might have been the second person never shares his disagreements regarding the cult with anyone because they're afraid of being seen as weirdo for opinions that they themselves now think are fringe weirdo opinions.
