I know it's an unpopular opinion but I agree that artbegging like that is not cool though. If you need art, commission it. If you want fan art, don't ask for it and be grateful for whatever comes.

It's clearly a short notice thing so making a formal commission isn't practical (especially since that'd require going through the company for privacy's sake, and getting something this low priority sorted close to Christmas ain't gonna happen). Opening up a more general "hey guys, fancy drawing something?" request that's already covered under Cover's fanart guidelines is more manageable on her end, and acts as a neat art prompt for any amateur artists who just feel like drawing for drawing's sake. If people aren't comfortable with the terms there's no pressure to take part, there's no foul play happening here.
Be Hakos Baelz, spend a shit ton of money towards projects and music so that her fans can enjoy it. But oh no she better not dare to ask for fanarts freaking beggar!!! You have to pay!!! Fuck all the money you spent to make your fans happy!!! PAY!!!!!

This opinion willfully ignores how Cover and its talents have a history of taking fanartists that they've found from these so-called "artbegging" situations like this one and giving those same artists fully paid-for commissions later down the line. This isn't just the talents or the company abusing the goodwill of their fanbase and taking artworks for free, this is an opportunity for artists to show their worth and become employed by the company and the talents later.

Am i missing something, did any of the "friend/family" pngs ever become official? At best i can think of Nerissa's family and maybe Kiara's mother, but i think Mama Mori cycled through fanarts as PNGs and Sally (Kronii's friend) just used a generic little drawing
