Everyone thought Elira and Selen were modest (at best, kinda like Amelia) until people looked into Kamameshi's previous works where it was shown that the dude just really likes big tidders covered in baggy clothes to make them look small. Late and irrelevant to the current drama, but the Dragoons trademark stuff got my tism going. Search wasn't picking it up, so sorry if all this was already mentioned.

Anycolor can absolutely trademark Dragoons (within the context of a fan name for a v-tuber), Apple has Apple trademarked, this isn't like copyright. The issue is, they havne't regestered the trademark in the US, where YouTube and Twitch opperate out of, or Canada, where Selen was and Doki now operates out of. Japan almost certainly doesn't matter, Doki is not operating out there. If someone wants to search Japan's registered trademarks, they can.

Anycolor has only trademarked XSOLEIL in both of the countries. Not even Nijisanji or Anycolor from what I can see. There is a concept of unregestered trademarks. However, these are heavily restricted based on geography. If you want a national level trademark on something, you register it. If you want your burger shop to not have someone open another one with the same name right next to you, you don't.

Recently there hasn't been any issues, but the culture itself is way different compared to what it used to, thanks to the admins being admins or someshit. Right now the issue is that people there has made a page on Dokibird, but the folks is too iffy on openly stating that yes, Dokibird is formerly Selen Tatsuki (This is also present in Kson's tvtropes page, along with possibly Nazuna from Vshojo).

As much as TVTropes deserves to be shit on, and please do continue doing so, unfortunately using Ember is a bad example for a double standard as a key perk as an Invader in PC means you can acknowledge your past. Dizzy, Ember, and Jelly got new bodies & names (assumedly for copyright/merch reasons) but they have never had to pretend they have no history thanks to how they came in, Dizzy even referenced her old Tsunderia self in her introduction, as opposed to say Muyu coming in as a Gen 3 as an example of normal vtuber etiquette applying.
