Having helped a friend, just this past week, clean up a very serious mess involving a teenager & online stuff, I've had a chance to think about it. The primary issue is children growing up in the Instant Communication World. I believe that's what is doing most of the damage. Some percentage of them are so wired to instant feedback loops that they can't run out any logic loops and we're starting to see them hit their 20s.
It's partially the instant Dopamine, but it's the difference between being able to get a cookie by going to the kitchen and having a cookie the instant you move your hand to the side. Most humans cannot withstand that type of damage to cognitive development. Which is also reflected in their inability to understand the devices they use.

Exposure to horrific content has life-long negative consequences for humans. There's a reason we shield a lot of topics from children. The problem is we've completely uncorked the filters and made it incredibly user friendly to get to.

Everyone else is either fucking dead or still shaky on their feet, tsunderia and cyberlive are dead, kawaii got shot in the side, prism was sold to sony, wactor and myholotv are black company garbage, many of the others are too small/new to even care about or consider atm.
I guess my point is that wayyyy too many people think that running an agency is some easy shit that anyone can do, and you see it with the amount of people who shit on the big agencies and go "I know what they should do! I know better!". Starting an agency is easy, running one is harder and actually taking it from backyard sticks-and-ducktape level to multimillion conglomerate has only been done twice.

I’ve been familiar with AkioAir for a while. The first gen is pretty good, especially Athena and MEW. They did have one of the members, RoaFen, graduate. My understanding was that it was due to essentially creative differences. The company wasn’t interested in some of the content that she wanted to make. If I recall correctly, it was niche stuff like radio dramas and choose your own adventure story videos.
Perhaps I never paid close enough attention but these kind of horrendous managerial decisions weren’t present with their first gen. They even did alright by scouting Kion after a deal with another indie vtuber fell through. For reference, Athena was an indie prior to joining under the same name but she got a model upgrade when joining. I believe the rest of the talents besides Athena were new.

Teyra Fenthera is the reincarnation of Megumi Kuragiri, who I posted about in the old general. We know this because she teased the new name and logo at the end of her graduation stream (still viewable on her Twitch channel at the time of posting).
On the leadup to her graduation several people speculated she was going to Phase as she's apparently been involved with some of the community events, however I have no details on this.
