To be fair, almost nobody knew this was a child until like twelve hours ago.

Having fucked up by hiring the kid in the first place, all Akio had to do was not say anything. If she really is the same person as the other corpo, autists might have lined up the voices eventually, but there would have still been some uncertainty. If you go back and look at the original tweet, almost all the replies and quote-RTs are negative. They've really stepped in it and even if the /vt/ stuff is all untrue there's still no way they come out of this unscarred if not completely destroyed. What a blunder.

Not tweeting things about how she had sex with our mothers would have helped as well.

The info showed that they are located in Tainan (Note: Tainan is one of the notorious employment region in southern part of Taiwan, due to their attitude in not giving a fuck to labor law)

And by looking at their company address: 台南市中西區公園路25號4樓之6

it looks like middle of no where, a common business building without any of their logo. I suspect they only rent a minimal place for management

At the moment, there is a career opportunity in the employment website. They are looking for 1~2 EN manager in Taiwan (Why looking for EN manager in Taiwan while they can't speak any fluent english...?)

The salary of the manager is approximately 30k TWD or above (less than 1k USD). Welp, thats why Tainan is a shithole to work

Since every company need to register their info to the government, and reveal their company value, I went to the government official website and did some digging as well:
(Cant archieve the government website)

Their company value: 368,000 TWD (approximate 11k of USD...)

With this low value, there is only two possibility how the company survived the Vtuber sphere, or pay the oversea Vtuber......

There's really no way he can dig his way out of this without tanking the corpo's optics even further. Either they continue as intended and let something happen to her (and something will happen, I genuinely believe there are actual unironic paedophiles, or at least trolls who will take things too far, who feel in good company among the shitposters on /vt/), or they terminate her and in the process crush the dreams of an enthusiastic teenager they gave false hope to.

Unless I've missed something there isn't hard proof supporting the anonymous posts about Jason overstepping boundaries and forcing them to dump their boyfriends etc., but it's one of those allegations that looks much worse once someone younger's involved since they're more vulnerable. I can't say I have enough evidence to confidently make serious accusations against the man, but I do know the formal corpo statement isn't gonna cut it, and the inevitable follow-up one probably won't either. I'm curious what the next move will be.

I think that doubling down and keeping her on is the worse option by a fair margin. That invariably means it will happen since it seems like choosing the worst possible action is par for the course when it has come to most small corpos.

On the most cynical level it is padding out the numbers, but when most of those views come from a combination of child predators and people who've been overtaken by morbid curiosity rather than an audience earnestly looking for entertainment, the cost of that """success""" is a young girl's dignity. We can only hope she loses interest and steps down to focus on her schoolwork or whatever before the wrong people find out who she is irl.

I just can't wrap my head around why they'd take her on in the first place - who's the target audience for this? The Japanese-style junior idol thing doesn't translate as well in English-speaking countries as kids here usually look up to older role models in entertainment rather than people their own age, and the idea of the usual vtuber audience of adult men tuning in to listen to a 15-year-old stranger every day is... creepy, to say the least.

I was initially exposed to AkioAir thanks to ads on YT and later when Pomu's Sweat (Niji clipper) would regularly clip one of their members close to debut. It's a shame that this will likely be the agency's legacy now.

The actual weird part is the text in general. It's a fully localized wrapper, which means the European distribution company acquired and not directly imported from South Korea. Which is what nearly all of the images I can find. There's a few around of the fully USA localized version.

Ireland seems most likely.
