If they cared that much, she would have done better apologizing to them in private. Regardless, if they were real friends, they would stand by her regardless. Chances are, they aren't, they are just business acquaintances, so they will avoid associating with her, apology be damned.

There's no point apologizing for a private conversation that was leaked maliciously. Its a failed strategy that time has shown does not work.

It is bending the knee. It isn't a real apology and doesn't come across as such. She's apologizing to try to save her career, not because she's sorry about what she said. The idea that she didn't mean what she said or what she said doesn't reflect who she is (even though the recording isn't even a year old) was never going to come across as believable.

It's not possible to quit working for Niji, and yes she is American. Also lawyering up and suing Niji is great, but it will only get drag on because Niji's war chest fund is so vast they can actually stall the case indefinitely.

I really hate how just apologizing is being called "bending the knee." She made her apology way before any mob even heard about what she said that she would be bending the knee to. The only mob around at the time would be the ones that already hated her for making Nijisanji look bad and this is obviously not an apology to those people.

Was watching Rima's coverage of this situation and caught these tweets from Quinn the former NOA manager/talent in the center of their own controversy months before Sayu joined. She claims Twisty's PL name was Flare, she was harassing Quinn (NOA) and she failed multiple auditions including VAllure as she was still under NijiEN.

Now I'm curious how many vtubers in the wider sphere know Aster is a sexpest. A quick check through his stuff and he's collabed with Kuga Leo (Neo Porte) and Rika Solari (VSPO EN) but everything else was just niji. Having few outer company collabs doesn't mean anything by itself but he did seem to play quite a few team based games like LoL and APEX. People with similar tastes (including some of his coworkers) have participated in collabs with indies/vtubers in different companies as a matter of networking or having fun. Just thought that was interesting.

Probably not many. According to some allegations he would target smaller indies and fans becaue they were fans of Niji and him. I would assume that anyone that had previously brought up the sexpest thing (First the Scarle thing and later the Raziel document that went over it again) would have been ignored by the Nijisisters because they were trying to shit on the company and make them look bad.

I think they deleted the word termination from their dictionaries after February 2024 and are currently trying to figure out how to substitute it.

It's because allowing persistent sex-pesting, even just through incompetence rather than because they're explicitly okay with it, is impossible to defend PR-wise. You can salvage partisan issues simply by picking a side and saying whatever they want to hear, since you only have to get your hands dirty once then your supporters will handle the rest for you (see the Zaion/Selen termination documents) - but being repulsed by a man sexually harassing a woman is bipartisan. There's nobody they can appeal to, so their only option is to maintain the official story that nothing happened (sometimes with a bit of force like the Scarle thing) and hope enough people believe them.

I will say though; the fact that Niji told her (and presumably other talents) to delete all of their past social media (including their PERSONAL ONES), and to quit any other jobs (not just other Vtuber gigs, all other jobs, even IRL ones) to commit to the company, but then she got no support, and basically made no money for 8 months, only to have to basically lose he first paycheck to cover all her expenses she racked up working FOR THEM? That's beyond black company behavior. That should be criminal. And then they had the nerve to string her along over a sex pest and sit on their hands and basically do nothing while that little twerp could act with impunity. If that company went belly up tomorrow, the whole Vtubing community would be better off.

Nigga its not reading deficiency if I havent read it. Im operating on the information I had that this was recorded many months ago (last year). Squirmimi debutted mid November last year and I honestly dont remember her mentioning any trans rights shit until recently shortly before getting fired. Yena had mentioned trans rights thing back when she debutted and was the first talent that came to mind when she talked about that shit as she is one of the few openly LGBTQ Vtuberrs (even discussed in this board back when she debuted). At the end of the day it doesnt matter who the fuck it was, she was talking shit on another corpo's talent which she didnt seem to have apologized for in her apology video which was the point of me bringing it up.

Playing the very short clip of Aster was clearly intended as a warning shot while giving as little ammo as possible (to persons of drama and nijisanji). There's so little and there's so little context that you can't really process it into a drama video by itself. (e: it's so inconsequential that there's no point to arguing its legitimacy either)
I'm not sure how to describe the usage of the leaked gamer moment clip, but I hope that one day, someone feels the need to subtitle me saying slurs in voice chat with neat color coded subtitles and even edits in jokes. It makes me feel some type of way.
