Hmm. Mayhaps the Nijisisters shouldn't have gone on a misinformed warpath that reignited ire against them.

I suppose she wouldn't appreciate the Millie "That's so weird, what happened" macro

She made the joke!!!

Is she here? Please leave Doki, nothing to see. Go buy more of your own merch or see a financial advisor or something.

Found this interesting thing on r/kurosanji, Katliente let slip the URL on her google dockey that she did against Doki
Heres an archive

While the project clearly started off on a bad foot because of terrible communication, the PC Building is a catastrophic idiot and I'm pretty sure they were using ChatGPT to make themselves sound smarter. I can see doing the quick pre-production sketch-up if it ended up being in a hurry, but, after that, they should have done nothing else without a contract. That's wholly on them.

Also, this wasn't a custom copper installation. It was an off the shelf AIO setup. At most, it was 3 days of work, lol.

they ... didn't do nothing else after the sketch-up though?
Timeline
Feb 20: Doki made an open invitation for artists to join her auction on twitter
Between Feb 20- Feb 27: Celeste send a DM to Doki's team, asking to join
Feb 27, 16:41: Manager 1 accepted the artist, and asked for a sketch to put on the auction that's going to happen on March 3rd.
Feb 28, 17:41: Artist gave out the sketch
(This is what the artist charged $5000 pound in cancellation fees for, a sketch made in a day)
Feb 28 -> March 3: Manager 1 got ghosted for a revision to the sketch and what the actual pricing be. Manager 1 being a genius manager pick an arbitrarily numbers of 3,500 and confirmed "Doki will pay whatever you are going to charge" and edited the sketch themselves with photoshop.
March -> June: Some minimal back and forth and artist went to rehab. Never agreed on a pricing.
June 2024 -> Dec 2024: Doki's mom and Doki fought legally for her company, noone answered the artist.
Jan 2025 -> Feb: Doki contacted artist for a new contract with her new company, but couldn't agree on pricing

The artist charged 120 hours, $5000 for the fucking sketch that she did under 25 hours (which honestly I think she whipped up in 3 hours at most) and the discord chats.... and whatever the fuck "administrative tasks" means.

Did this document include the bit about time lapse for all of the weeks of work they put in? Because they claimed, somewhere, to actually have done a bunch of work, which Doki was willing to pay for if they could provide proof. They put together an item list (sans Storage, lol), but, good point, there's actually no confirmation they did anything beyond the sketch. Still, they might have done something at some point, which is kind of par for the course of someone that works themselves into scamming others. It's... weird, but I've run into that before.

Though the message from the current Manager is pretty funny, because they're kind of correct. If there was an implied contract, it's with the former company.

well, now I look at it, the actual breakdown is even more insane than I thought
On Jan 10, Doki dm-ed the builder
On Jan 13 10:40, the builder replied to Doki with their discord account for contact
On Jan 14 7:59, Doki replied to the artist with Manager 3's discord for her to add

So the builder claimed she is owned 340 dollars, for working from 10:40 AM to 18:40 on Jan 13, before she has spoken a single word to Doki's staff.
On Jan 14- Jan 16, builder and manager 3 work with each other to agree on the final parts and pricing, before presenting to Doki's and the buyer
On Jan 16, she sent over a PDF files, which is basically an "updated components parts", aka she changed some components and her full pricing of 7.2k3.jpg
From Jan 16 - Jan 18, Manager 3 told her 7.2k is too much, On Jan 18, builder reply she got with one of her contacts and can lower the build to 3.500, making the total $6.6k.
Screenshot 2025-05-16 171714.jpg
Manager 3 actually pushed back against this $6.6k initial offer, he wanted $6.6k with shipping & tax included.
He decided to include to Doki, but already expressed that he wants Doki to drop the builder
2..png
From Jan 19 > Jan 30, They argued with each other and couldn't come up with an agreement
On Jan 30, builder dropped that invoice & calculator. Note that the invoice counted 31/1.... which hasn't happened yet.
Manager 3 didn't read the thing properly and thought the 120 hours, aptly labeled "pre-production cost" was for the mock-up. And demanded a timelapse for why this mock-up would need 120 hours to be worked on.
4.jpg
But if you look at her actual calculation, she started charging from 13 to 31 January....

Tl;dr the 120 hours work wasn't even the fucking mock-up, she was charging $5100 for DISCORD MESSAGES & TWITTER DMS.

That even makes it more confusing. I'm starting to think less "stupid" and more "high as a freaking kite". This is some meth-addled accounting going on. Good work there, I hadn't read closely but I thought they were charging some weeks back during the middle of 2024 that they did work without a contract (stupidly). But, apparently they just decided to just charge Doki for them existing?

It has to be drugs. Scamming is one thing, but this screams altered mental states.

We need to make some "scammer alert" thread

The "Bao Memorial Potential Vtuber Scams" thread. Or "34k in the Blowhole" or something.
