For all we know, the fanbox stuff could be their PL stuff they still maintained or sidegig that they've done alongside their current vtubing stuff so they can do stuff without restrictions or whatever. Can't really assume it as Niji's fault.

Like, the feeling that I got on the JP talents that isn't big ones is that, despite their numbers or popularity is on average without any sort of going up or whatever, they truly sees this vtubing stuff as sidegig rather than main job (like what most streamers do, making it full-time), so that they probably have so stuff to do outside the vtubing, maybe even have actual job that would probably giving them some safety net in case shit went down.

So yeah, don't account them NijiJP roomates making/owning fanbox as Niji giving them such rough time that they had to whore out, it's probably just them doing it for themselves or someshit. Maybe even doing things that Niji wouldn't let them do or the current place wouldn't allow (like ASMRs, for example).
I think it silly to bring up fanbox and shit as a sign of anything, anyway, when we have Matsuri and Noel, who definitely make good money under holo, running around being giga-whores on Fantia.

Alright, here we go.

I didn't expect this but it doesn't shock me that much. Ver's schedules have always been on the shorter side, I remember months ago he talked to his fanbase that he would shorten his amount of streams to friday and weekends in order to focus in college. It could either be that or riding his contract, I haven't been keeping up with him so I have no idea... although I do think his most recent schedule mentioned something of a break? and I think it came before this tweet.

Also I forgot to quote it before, but I'm content with Vivi leaving Niji, hope Sunny helps her and she has lots of fun after graduating
Yes, this has been announced by him weeks ago, including his reasons and the extent of his activities during hiatus. This shouldn't be a surprise.
Ver Vermillion wants to go on a semi-hiatus after his outfit comes out mid October.

I assume looking at what Alban did helped him make the decision.
Speaking of Alban, I can't help but think back and remember everyone being certain he's as good as gone. A hiatus is nothing new for EN and so far, everyone came back (except for Selen and Kunai, different circumstances, Kunai's was only ever announced on YouTube community tab).
They are saying "it's about time that his 2nd outfit is able to get revealed". Pretty sure this is just supposed to be an inside joke, at least that's how it reads to me. @VSoyBoy?
Yes, I think it is a Joke. When he announced the Outfit he just posted a silhouette and that's it, no date or anything, which lead people to making jokes.
It would be very awkward if by the time he finishes a degree there is no NijiEN anymore
I'm pretty sure you said the exact same thing when Alban went on hiatus (in addition to him "obviously being gone").
Get new material.

Kinda reminds me of when GuruLarry stayed at ChannelAwesome after their big drama 6 years ago, saying he'd be there shitposting until they kicked him out or the company died.
Yea but hes also fat and retarded so what that makes Twisty

I said that he is taking a break to study japanese before his branch will get merged with JP. My jokes have quite a variety

Then you should help yourself and think more, because it was pointed out how the nurse one took a huge break to finish the med school. Stop playing a victim and acting like everyone always says the opposite of what you said

JP is accelerating down too. We'll see how their alleged new 3d studio will do, but i don't expect much. Failure of EN is a cancer that will continue killing them in JP market. Quality of their sponsor/collab deals is declining. Barring some massive success in chinklands, niji gonna turn into more of a washout corpo than it already is. Compare them to inclining corpo. In Phase top performers are stabilizing while bottom performers are pushed and aided to grow faster, which they do. In niji, top performers are stabilizing, but mid and bottom performers are ignored and left to fend for themselves and pay for everything out of pocket. Niji has been washout for years now. They could coast and survive few more years, but they will never see substantial growth anymore. That's if investors and creditors won't explode Tardiku's penis next year.

I shall note that the Chinese co-production stuff makes almost no money. They bring back like $5k USD per streamer over there. It's wildly low amounts of money for any business involvement. Except for EN, every other branch seems to have lost the core company money, and that's with cheaping out on everything. (That's mostly why, sadly.)

As for their home base in Tokyo, realistically the severe lack of management likely means there's actually several people in control of various chunks of the company. But they're more de facto Networks. Given corporate is sitting on enough cash to cover their own costs for a while, Riku can ride things out for at least another decade. I imagine, by that point, someone might buy them up and actually run them properly. But the name is probably worthless outside of Japan.

I think NijiJP dying anytime soon is a huge stretch, we know there is some fuckery going on (imo) due to the YAB thing, Gundou's execution, etc but i dont think its quite as bad as EN at all

Besides, it would be quite a huge shakeup since that Power Vaccum will probably be filled by Brave

NijiJP isn't going anywhere, anytime soon. They can continue to exist, but it's basically like a post-boom Idol company. They'll still get new streamers, but the big cultural pop isn't there. It'll just be around as the younger core that hopped on the train ages out of having time to invest.

Just do what they did with Matara, sell merch even if the talent isn't there anymore
Much less sales this way. They likely put Nina merch out only because it was in production before she pulled out.

It's a rrat, but he likely have have loans against stock value. Why do you think he's so hellbent on raising the number? So there is potential of instakill aka sudden bankruptcy.

While technically a Rrat, he'll have loans against the value of the stock. That's what everyone in his situation does. That wouldn't really be the issue. Unless he's gambled it all away at Pachinko, he could liquidate and pay back the loans. The most likely scenario he wants to avoid is the stock being low enough that he'd have to either put up more collateral or surrender some of the stock. Those loans tend to have massive undervaluations built into them, but it's probably close enough it'd cause him a headache.

It's far less "Riku is going to flee to Thailand" and far more "Riku is going to have a massive headache and have to liquidate assets".

It stands in the same garage as his Ferrauri, Bugautti, Austin Maurtin and Honda N-Van.

Do you have any other claims apart from "Riku took out the maximum amount of credit against his stock at the height of it's value (about 625 Million USD assuming he gets a credit line for 50% of the value at ATH) and he blew it all on cars"?

Yes, he can liquidate a lot, but it's all about preserving lifestyle and public image among the peers.
worst case scenario, he really pachinko and lost all his money, can't pay the loan, the bank took the stocks off his hand and sell it to someone willing to pay to recover the loan. And also all his super cars & yachts
Loaning against your own shit is also fallen under "low-interest rate", meaning banks make damn sure they can recover the money and they won't let you borrow more than you have.
The company wont just randomly blow up and riku "only" owns 44% anyway.

unless you mean riku bankruptcy and not nijisanji bankruptcy then whatever, sure he's a meth addict buying yachtes and supercars.

Certainly feels like the graduation queue is actually real and there's just a line of these poor fuckers waiting to get out.

Niji instated a status effect that turns direct damage into a damage over time so they slowly bleed out instead of getting 100-0'd instantly, and they're trying everything to try to stop the drain.

Wait, I kind of love Niji now, wtf?

But in all seriousness, Twisty is a fucking enigma. She really gives off "I hopped onto a sinking ship and I'm just going to shitpost until I drown" vibes. I think I might actually unironically like her.

This was basically my entire goal in continuing to apply to Niji even after everything started sinking. Equal parts "I'm going to stand on the stern of this sinking ship and grandstand as hard as possible" and "I'm going to dump tea harder than Boston 1773".

It's documented that McLauren is parked under their office, and they are only company in the building with enough money to buy one.

It's not as far-fetched. Riku radiate exorbitant amounts of wannabe energy form every orifice, and this is why i think he will do exponentially dumb shit in attempt to preserve illusion of success. If last shareholder meeting revealed publicly that they're skirting the line with illegal practices (7$ undergrad lawyers are actually real), then it's damn sure they're doing some actually illegal shit for a while and their books won't hold up to inspection. Beside obvious contract misrepresentation, thus wrong tax filings.

Good that's she taking the high road. Although I feel that Sayu is being too nice to him, it makes her far more mature than Quinn's bitter and spiteful attitude he has of his time in Kurosanji.

Well Quinn sketched out the roles of child and adult. Sayu accepted proposed setting and played the role of an adult.
