They are a bit off on Tyranids as well. The Genestealers are pretty important to the horror of that faction. Calling them the least evil isn't quite right because in the setting you don't really know their motives outside of eating everything
The scariest thing about Tyranids is that they entered known space from multiple different directions, which could imply that the WH40K universe is surrounded by Tyranids
I have never watched Naruto but I have an intense hatred for it because "Sasuke" has become a point of reference for fucking everyone nowadays as a specific character template.
to be fair, if you watched like a 2 minute video of sasuke talking, you'd know exactly why is he is a point of reference for his character template. If you wanted to compare it to a western character, he's basically shadow the hedgehog.
There’s also just sooo many books by many authors. Plenty of stinkers can get published when you shotgun blast out that much content. The rate of shit books is increasing tho
That's the way it is with these open "playground universe" fictional worlds that a lot of writers can work within. Like with the Star Wars expanded universe back in the day, there were like 7 shit works and 2 mediocre ones for every 1 great one.
The recommendations needs to be pretty tight yeah, lots of writers means lots of shit to wade through. Infinite and the Divine is good enough to be standalone though, and from there you can do stuff like Eisenhorn.
That's not surprising, that's how it was with Star Wars EU. A lot of really cool shit but man, there was a lot of straight garbage. It's the pro and con of having such an open universe for writing. You'll get some really amazing writing and you'll get some pure dogshit.
