There's more reason's to think it's a woman then a guy for sure. Character seems more like something girls would like to be and the voice doesn't seem heavily altered like a dude would need to sound like that. A dude wanting to be a shota character would probably be a degen and AFIK Aoi isn't really, only for jokes and such.

Normally I would agree but only mann/character (held on the left side in MS) tiles are complicated without numbers both bamboo and dots are easy reads without numbers as they show countable examples on the tile. Add on that he had floated over the missing tile showing the 1 bam many times and it was the obvious odd tile out of his hand, even Pippa could have read that hand.He doesn't have numbers on and I'm assuming that would fuck with her.
