The ending where the blacks end up murdering him after he spent the entire last half hour of the movie trying to be a better person really sends a message they didn't mean it to
Elements of it are good, but it is subversive overall. It's kinda like an attempt to disarm the ideology in a very manipulative way. The ending is unintentionally based though.
