Being friends with Ralph is the stupidest thing anyone can do, even outside of the Pippasphere. Then again, Nick is also trying to get some serial rapist on his show so maybe he's just looking to get as close as he can to the worst people in the world.

We also thought that going after someone's employers/job was a hard line for him as well, but just look where that ended up with his defense of Camelot.

This doesn't really surprise me. If the whole situation with Pippa has proven anything it's that balldo man is willing to start drama with people without trying to sort stuff out behind the scenes in good faith first. Also it proved that him and his orbiters are really thin skinned and they believe that the only good jokes are the ones they tell.
