I remember when Idol was announced I assumed the Jewcorp was a scam, over 2022-2023 I then actually thought it was a legit company holding its own. Then I thought it was a decent company just with some bad egg talents. It appears the corpo was a trainwreck the whole time?

From the start it always seemed like they promised way too much and then the donothons started happening frequently.

They got their choice of model, they got free streaming equipment as well, but no talent manager? That's rather fucked up to me.

-Talents had no talent manager
-Fans never got their merch and there was likely no warehouse for distribution
-Brave bought a vtuber company where the top performers leave immediately and are now responsible for the merch

Unless Lisa sold her IP rights to Idol as the cost of getting in, Brave wouldn't have any claim to the rights. For most Idol talents, their IPs were created by, and therefore property of, Idol, and its successor Brave would inherit those rights. Lisa might have to give up her new model, but would retain the rights to the underlying character and previous model (again, presuming she didn't sign them away).

As much of a massive L brave took here it will be fascinating to see if they can salvage this if they will even try.

it's not like the remains are untalented or unable to pull in numbers with the right motivation or marketing. Roca and Lisa are still some of the best EN singers around and while im unfamiliar with the rest there is definitely potential to be tapped out of all of them

I would rather see brave succeed i guess is what im saying and fix their other talents too.

I think they could salvage this if they wanted to put in the effort and money, and right now it seems they do. A lot of the strategies Phase Connect does to boost their brand and bring in new viewers could be repurposed by Idol/Brave without issue - spending money on advertising songs and clip compilations of talents, investing in con presence and meet-and-greets, arranging community events. I'd figure out a program to give money to clippers, whether it's a contest or reworking Aviel's clipper program.

I'd like to see Brave succeed, if only for the sake of the talents that are investing their future into them.

I don't know the Niji story you refer to but the issue with Idol was that Aviel was running a scam, which was why he'd always immediately find the money he promised someone the moment they made a twitter post detailing how Aviel owed them money, but never during the months before when they repeatedly DMd him asking for it.

Most of the physical Phase merch has been six months to a year. There's a few outliers still in the works that more than a year after ordering, like the stackable plushies, but Sakana is still trying to sort them out. You can accuse Phase of being slow with the merch (more than fair) but they do eventually deliver.

IIRC the Niji one refers to a time when Niji tried to officially endorse clippers through a program under Niji clip channel or something. I remember some Holo clippers also joined and shill out Niji clips until they simply stop. CMIIW I think Neko Mikuri did join that clipper program and later left as it is not worth it.

I got gen 3, lucky boxes and valentine merch on their estimated times, if not slightly earlier. I am seeing numerous "My merch came" posts on twitter too so a lot of people do get them.

Once Brave completely takes care of issues left, Idol's will likely get better. V4mirai had no big issues afaik, and any problem gets a statement from their accounts decently fast
