You're using the same logic that the retards at Nexas and other failed corpos had. That as long as you have a nice model and "someone" talking behind it, people will watch.
But why would anyone whale for an AI? Most streamers don't make any money and it's not going to be any different if AI streamers become a thing too. But most streamers do it for fun, how long will someone be willing to pay to keep their AI streamer running when it's not making money?
It's going to be the similar for fully AI movies or games. Why pay full price for AI content when you could just use the generator to make one yourself?
If it remains so niche, I could see the scene continuing as-is. However, Hololive, Nijisanji, VShojo, Phase Connect, and other indies
do make money, so that attraction will be there. "Nice model and someone talking" isn't Good Enough, I agree, but I foresee AI going well beyond that. As for the emotionally connected Whales: if the vtuber isn't specifically stated to be AI, they'll be none-the-wiser. For the rest of the viewers, they won't care: most don't donate anyways. So long as there are sub counts, there will be sponsors, and so there will be AI vtubers making money since the cost will be near nothing.
"It's going to be the similar for fully AI movies or games. Why pay full price for AI content when you could just use the generator to make one yourself?" Exactly what we're going to see as a futile upcoming battle. AI investors will want their payout, and will probably get fucked in the long run. AI itself, after a lot of the work is done and the database exists, doesn't
need a service company, as it can then be done on a local machine. Even those who have closed source programs with a locked-up database are suspect, as
when someone leaks that stuff, it'll be out there and easy to use. Everyone anywhere will be able to generate their own films, music, novels, and games. Hell, there's already a bunch of open source and local AI video generators right now. I don't see these AI companies surviving once most the work has been done, which is also in the very near future.
