I know it's different people and different companies, but the narrative they are trying to push that "they are just here to help" is the same regardless. Trying to play a victim also didn't help. At least in Japan it takes guts to do this kind of content because you can go to court even for saying factually correct things (and it did end up in court at least once with Nijisanji somehow managing to lose). But for western ones there is literally no drawbacks or even minor inconveniences. In Japan they are also generally the source of the news, not just regurgitating forum posts and watching public videos
