For several years, there was this fan made Holo News magazine, it ran from 2021 to mid-2024Cover could honestly make a random magazine featuring a bunch of self-shilling and people would buy it, specially if it contains plenty of nice art and/or special announcements.
Why are you acting like not using or showing anywhere their legal name and face is something that vtubing corporations invented for the sole purpose of being able to exploit their employees? They are not background workers who never appear in public and wouldn't be able to put it on their resume without proper credit. We know for a fact that bigger companies will hire you from a smaller company despite not being officially credited, which means your entire point about exploitation is completely invalid. It's not unheard of for a vtuber to change multiple companies, sometimes going from a defunct one, meaning there is no official way to confirm you are who you are and yet they don't struggle to find employment.corporations exploiting their workers
A part of Airi's appeal to me is specifically the fact that she somehow manages to stay [usually] positive and upbeat despite her increasingly-miserable life circumstances. Wouldn't that be precisely the opposite of misery-porn? Dizzy's the one that has breakdowns every other stream.I watch Airi because I hope to someday hear she's leaving her underpaid black company job, and her 2-3 hour commute, and the burning hellhole that is Los Angeles, not specifically to watch her suffer. She needs a hug!
Gaslight talents. Exploit talents. Turn talents into fanatics who would rather die than graduate.I'm guessing the goal is to max out the brainworms of his talents so they become more menhera and thus produce more unhinged content![]()
NijiEN original management did start a crypto company. Which is pretty close I guessGaslight talents. Exploit talents. Turn talents into fanatics who would rather die than graduate.
If your business model is the exploitation of socially isolated men, your best bet for profit maximization is copying Scientology.
In vtubing, there seems to be a pretty good correlation between companies treating their talents well and companies being successful over the long-term, and vice versa. Treating your talents badly and exploiting them is poor long-term strategy, it means you won't attract quality talents (they can do better elsewhere), you won't retain the talents you do have (they will quit or move elsewhere), and the talents are less incentivized to put in their best efforts for the company.I feel that the "corporations exploiting their workers" thing does not come from a place of virtue, but rather inexperience.
Forget reading up about IRL idol talent agencies from JP during the 90s, think about how a large multi-layered company maintains a functioning cashflow. They had to come up with memes like "social responsibility" and "mental healthcare" for a reason.

Oh I know about it. It technically still exists, just releases super slowly because most of its editors and contributors quit or lost interest. For several years, there was this fan made Holo News magazine, it ran from 2021 to mid-2024
It basically is a summary of notable streams for almost each member, a bigger lead for a big event ad then some more recent trivia
I liked that format a lot because it did help keeping up with all of HoloPro, at least a bit and on surface level
Anycolor has a magazine. It's only online and not in print, but the quality of articles is pretty good and it has background info and interviews that a lot of superfans would be interested in.Cover could honestly make a random magazine featuring a bunch of self-shilling and people would buy it, specially if it contains plenty of nice art and/or special announcements.
