Cover could honestly make a random magazine featuring a bunch of self-shilling and people would buy it, specially if it contains plenty of nice art and/or special announcements.
For several years, there was this fan made Holo News magazine, it ran from 2021 to mid-2024

It basically is a summary of notable streams for almost each member, a bigger lead for a big event ad then some more recent trivia
I liked that format a lot because it did help keeping up with all of HoloPro, at least a bit and on surface level

If Airi counts as "misery porn", then call me Eli Roth

I watch Airi because I hope to someday hear she's leaving her underpaid black company job, and her 2-3 hour commute, and the burning hellhole that is Los Angeles, not specifically to watch her suffer. She needs a hug! Plus I won't accept arguments about taste from someone who thinks it's alright to have their coworkers' nudes.

In other news, Eva finds out the Midwestern rock scene is literally all dudes who want to become the next Smashing Pumpkins

Also, Lisa used to tour with a band

I'm curious now

Speaking of sad Koreans, Shabel Tonya is giving up on YouTube because of their demonetization bullshit

I've been stressing over this platform stuff for MONTHS by now and it's genuinely sad to see some of you guys are upset about it...I've been around for quite a while now and I really think we've hit the point where we need to try new things for improvement.
So none of these changes are set on stone and we're just trying to see what works the best for us...I wanted to focus on my branding as a Vsinger so I've been trying to move away from streaming on Youtube. (algorithm issues plus all the demonetization nonsense that happened recently with my companymates)
Dual streaming is not ideal because it does not focus on any of the audiences. (in my experience, viewers at a platform that has less chatters get discouraged to watch because I'm not big enough to have sufficient viewers on both platforms)That's why I decided to divide platforms depending on stream contents without completely moving because a lot of my current viewers are mainly Youtube based.
There's no other way to do KR streams because KR Twitch doesn't exist anymore and most KR viewers were not on Youtube even back then so it's gotta be CHZZK.
I'm still trying to figure out a way to simplify Youtube membership to one lowest tier without messing the streaks. (I'll update you guys soon) That way you guys can still use emotes on stream & keep your membership badges.I'm only trying to utilize the lowest tier on Twitch also so that you guys can use emotes Overall, I'm trying to keep Youtube + Twitch memberships under $10 so you guys won't feel like it's too much of an extra cost every month.
Patreon is an additional platform that has contents that does not interfere with my usual streams. I separated it because I didn't want to worry about monetization or algorithms and make contents freely. Main contents there are recorded videos that require prep, time, effort, and cost incurred for me. You do not have to get membership there and still will not have any problem enjoying my contents. I also tried to make the price reasonable as possible to enjoy all of the contents there... If you read all the way till here, thank you so much for going through my internal struggles right now... I really couldn't think of a better way to execute this and I really tried to make everything low cost for you guys as well if you're just casual stream enjoyers. If you have a better idea, I'm all ears so please send me suggestions.
At the end of the day, I just wanted to grow and do more fun contents with you guys, so I was really sad to see some of you guys being upset about this change...Regardless, I really appreciate all the love and support you always give me. Thank you so much and I hope you guys also know that I really care about you guys as well.

corporations exploiting their workers
Why are you acting like not using or showing anywhere their legal name and face is something that vtubing corporations invented for the sole purpose of being able to exploit their employees? They are not background workers who never appear in public and wouldn't be able to put it on their resume without proper credit. We know for a fact that bigger companies will hire you from a smaller company despite not being officially credited, which means your entire point about exploitation is completely invalid. It's not unheard of for a vtuber to change multiple companies, sometimes going from a defunct one, meaning there is no official way to confirm you are who you are and yet they don't struggle to find employment.
Even more so, it's not a default for a regular content creator to show their face and use their legal name either. Some are not comfortable being on camera, some know they don't look too great so it's better to hide it, most have been using the same nickname everywhere even before making youtube videos so they just stick with it and associate with it even more than their real name
The only people who have clear benefit from a vtuber showing their name and face with no drawbacks are groomers and creeps. Everyone else involved have pros and cons

A part of Airi's appeal to me is specifically the fact that she somehow manages to stay [usually] positive and upbeat despite her increasingly-miserable life circumstances. Wouldn't that be precisely the opposite of misery-porn? Dizzy's the one that has breakdowns every other stream.

I feel that the "corporations exploiting their workers" thing does not come from a place of virtue, but rather inexperience.
Forget reading up about IRL idol talent agencies from JP during the 90s, think about how a large multi-layered company maintains a functioning cashflow. They had to come up with memes like "social responsibility" and "mental healthcare" for a reason.

I'm guessing the goal is to max out the brainworms of his talents so they become more menhera and thus produce more unhinged content :chaos:
Gaslight talents. Exploit talents. Turn talents into fanatics who would rather die than graduate.

If your business model is the exploitation of socially isolated men, your best bet for profit maximization is copying Scientology.

In vtubing, there seems to be a pretty good correlation between companies treating their talents well and companies being successful over the long-term, and vice versa. Treating your talents badly and exploiting them is poor long-term strategy, it means you won't attract quality talents (they can do better elsewhere), you won't retain the talents you do have (they will quit or move elsewhere), and the talents are less incentivized to put in their best efforts for the company.

Da Michi will be joining the STGR GTA server

For the 99% of forum users who do not watch Phase JP streams, it's basically a GTA server where streamers roleplay a character and interact with other players as them, rather than their usual personas. Out of Phase JP, Pico streams her server activities on Youtube while Yuu streams hers on Twitch.

Oh I know about it. It technically still exists, just releases super slowly because most of its editors and contributors quit or lost interest.

The thing was never super popular since it was mainly a reddit project, so when the Holosub began declining after Coco and other talents stopped showing up, the company moderators went MIA and the place became filled with people farming karma from fanart, the magazine just sorta died because most people didn't care.

Now that there's less interest than ever from EOPs for info about the JPs and males there's no real point. These sorta things were born in that era when there was a lot of overlap.

Anycolor has a magazine. It's only online and not in print, but the quality of articles is pretty good and it has background info and interviews that a lot of superfans would be interested in.

Which brings me to this article which was released just today about the two headlining NijiFes concerts with Hoshikawa Sara, Lauren Iroas, Sonny and Elira.
There is an English version of the interview at the bottom.

They have also released teasers for the outfits of the EN participants:
