Going from a single to couples channel isn't always terrible. This channel that my brother watches (he is weirdly into react content) started out as just the guy, but later his girlfriend/fiancé/wife joined and the channel got renamed. Apparently it made the channel better, having a second person to banter with and help fill time made the reactions better, and it allowed him to rewatch the stuff he all ready reacted to with her.

The big difference is they were a couple before they started youtube and they have the one channel that they share rather than 2. Also from the few videos my brother showed me they seem like an actual functioning couple that puts their relationship above the channel/fame.

To add to this, it's well known that open relationships kill channel growth for more parasocial YouTubers, especially vtubers. For example, look at what happened to The Pink Cat. She's got a million followers and can barely get 2k ccv now and is regularly beaten by vtubers she shit on like Pippa when they're online. Hell, she is so irrelevant nowadays. She is barely brought up anymore and has kind of just been forgotten outside all of the fucked shit she's done in the past.

It's not so much open relationships kill growth or channels, it's having it exposed or trying to deflect or being shady about it (farming gachikoi) and it blowing up does. No one is dumb enough to think these 18-30+ women are untouched virgins or doesn't have a man dicking them down every night, at least no one should think it's impossible to be the case, it's when it comes to light in a retarded way (Rushia) or thinking they're untouchable if they were to reveal it (Nyanners) does it actually hit them. This is why it's devastating to talents who's sole attitude is "teehee yuri yuri yuri" "WOMEN I LOVE WOMEN" then find out they had a bf. While parasocial shit isn't new, it hit vtubing hard because it's more of a character than an e-thot is. End of day, when it comes to vtubing it is literally their job to entertain you and keep you invested. Everyone knows Wrestling is fake, most people don't care and there's a good chance people told you to shut up and have fun if you're the: "Omg this shit is fake" kid back in the day. Lives aren't that entertaining and full of "content" that these chubbas can go for 1-3+ years and have constant stories or "scenarios" happening to them, you have to just realize a lot of it just BS but you're entertained either way, so having a boyfriend or girlfriend shouldn't change that unless it changes your reasoning for tossing money at them.

Anyone getting butthurt over their favorite streamer or online personality having found some sort of romantic connection to another person should be dragged to the nearest square and publically laughed at.

Streamers/Vtubers do not give a fuck about you on a personal level at the end of the day. Once the stream ends you are nothing to them.
Unironically this is why Elira, as exampled awhile ago, got flack for setting boundaries when people were kind of trying to cross that line or think they're ACTUALLY friends with her. It wasn't anything serious but the fact you even had anyone think it's bad for chubbas to set boundaries says a lot about how easy it is to fall into parasocialism.

Which is why I said even "non" unicorns I don't mean getting angry or upset about it I mean, generally people just don't like being reminded they're alone.

In a way yeah, end of the day you just gotta take things for what they are. To explain better my point after taking my meds, I've meant that LATAM and even some corners of Africa got a lot of unseen talents, and they never get opportunities like V4Mirai because the corpos don't look at them in favorable ways, this info comes from some local streamers that audited to Niji and Idol, with their 300-600 ccv audiences.
One great example that many people might know is Kitanya, south african vtuber that I saw growing up from almost the beginning, and it took quite some years of constantly streaming and a lot of networking for her to earn the spotlight. She is the kind of talent that could fit even Holo, and probably tried before the 100ccv.
Monopoly is always bad but I fear oligarchies more, considering how Japan "runs" their entertainment agencies.

Most of the bigger female fleshtubers seem to lean into it heavily enough where it would cause any of them problems. I can't see it affecting someone like Tenma or Panko nearly as much.

Not trying to be a dick, but can't you see why a streamer that has some level of universal/international appeal would be a better choice to invest in, rather than a "local" streamer with an extremely limited appeal. Unless the "local" streamer changed all most everything about them to appeal more globally they aren't gonna have the same return on investment, and if they do change what is the point of them being "local".
