It's fine, I'm giving it up. I didn't want to because like you and
@Saturnus and
@Trap Supremacy (in his way, I still refuse to hold it against him because I understand the intention) I get the concept of pushing to bring up the mood or trying to improve things but it's not worth it. There's no happy pill or whatever, the fact people are discussing among each other how much they actually miss when everyone stopped caring so much and would just talk about who they like and maybe slap some clips on to end their post is already more than we can get from the person upstairs anyway.
This is an interaction NATURALLY HAPPENING between users and it's happening here, in a "general thread" that isn't split into seperate threads named forum lovers/forum haters/forum tolerators/forum visitors enjoying another shit show. It literally just ended up being a chat because people engaged each other. Has fuck all to do with some forced safe space and it's happening DESPITE the guy in charge lecturing everybody here about how we apparently can't manage to do this because.. some anecdotal evidence that has fuck all to do with us.
My entire point just being that for me, personally, despite however much sucked in the scene relating to shit I like, I could be down a while but hey fuck it. I could go to the forum and see other people who weren't as down posting shit they enjoyed, making a few jokes, bringing up memories or clips, people like
@Shuba espousing his absolute adoration of someone, or even just posting shit to try and cheer up the general mood. My falling off of general usage in the forum isn't because of compounding issues in the scene that fucking suck. I get over it in a day or few. It's because using the forum feels like shit between drama pushing and forced changes made, on top of the absolute and total disinterest in listening to the community that's active.
Wanting more people and trying to get newbies on board is dandy. Talking with people about ways to consider doing that would be LOVELY. We USED to do that sort of thing, but not anymore. Dealing with disruptive elements? Community chat. Potential bans? Community input. Making a mascot for the Hell of it? Get in here boys!
Now with little to no discourse we're being told instead that your opinion doesn't matter and "your sacrifice is one I'm willing to make" in the face of general disapproval for said changes. Yeah, we had the discussion a couple times already about thread split and most people disagreed, but things changed so you say you wanted to consider it again. Fine. Oh just kidding it's implemented now with 0 actual regard for how to do it. In fact people have already SAID what parts they think kind of worked or could be elaborated on, in here, this very thread, in the last day or two of this nonsense.
And it's already been dusted away with 0 consideration. THAT is the actual most tiring part of the forum in this space. We're allowed to type here but fuck you if you want to offer input on literally anything. And it feels like shit.
