Hey, I think I was the first person to post her face/PL here, but since that nobody else has even needed to do any digging because she fucking tells us everything herself. The relevant threads get posted on Discord every so often. I have no idea if it goes any deeper than that, but suspect that it doesn't. I have heard absolutely nothing negative about Mozu from anywhere that isn't those threads, which is frankly unprecedented for a decently-connected mid-sized vtuber like her.

The sad thing is that this guy probably has a more concrete reason for being an anti here than 99% of all the others.
Most of the /vt/ autism about her I've seen has been them reposting those chatlogs of her talking about being attracted to her audience (which, admittedly, was a really fucking retarded thing to say) and I didn't realise she'd tried setting firmer boundaries since then, so I'm guessing they're just taking the minor fuckup (sending mixed messages) and blowing it out of proportion. It does have a bit more substance than the Fauna people who still whine about her saying she's not their friend, but still, they're having multi-tweet meltdowns because an anime girl said no on the internet, so I'm not inclined to actually care about them being upset either way.

Agreed. Of all vtubers, I've seen, she's one of the least deserving of hate. Im not up to date on her but she's one of the most authentic vtubers in the sphere and deserves far more attention and support than she's currently getting. I understand she has her moments, but they have never come from Malce, and the only mistake I have seen her make is getting too parasocial Shiina style when she hits a rough time IRL.
I think the thing I hate most about vtuber culture (and celebrity culture in general) is that you're never, ever allowed to improve. The weird thing is that completely self-debasing vtubers can get away with nearly anything, so long as they never actually claim to have standards. But if they do, people will always pigeonhole them as a liar because of years-old slips that obviously do not reflect who they are now.
It's just cancel culture in another form. Or rather, cancel culture is a logical evolution and weaponization of that trend. Mozu was pretty dumb to say that, but the way people are acting as if she can never improve and that any attempts to improve are nothing but lies or hypocrisy is pure crab-bucket mentality. There's nothing these people seem to loathe with more passion and vitriol than someone they once celebrated as just as degenerate as they are actually making tangible steps to be a better person.
