Kuro stream notes:
- Anything he said on twitter, anything he said on the stream is stuff he got approved by Ike, he's not talking out of line
- Talked to him twice in the last two weeks specifically about this and several times more since the time they met in Japan
- Only knew about how soon it was going to go down very suddenly, probably this week
- "He doesn't want to be online right now, he said it in his message", the letter is something that Kuro and Ike discussed
- Kuro didn't know how deep the letter was going to go into his mental health issues, so the hanging Frieren tweet was made as a reply to the Niji announcement without reading the personal message by Ike, which he thought would go up later when Ike wakes up
- "I told him: dude you're depressed as shit, I don't want you to kill yourself" "and he said: don't worry, it's nothing like that" which is another reason he was comfortable using the suicide joke to talk about this, but he doesn't blame anyone for getting mad since they don't know and he accepts that the tweet was with bad timing
- Ike not joining VShojo
- Kuro says he was also thinking of deleting the Mysta vods, so he gets where Ike is coming from, but they are different and although Mysta was able to be convinced to leave the vods, the same is not the case for Ike
- Ike didn't do this just randomly, but he's been thinking about this for a long time, even before Niji. It's something that is about him personally and not only about his current circumstances
- "I told him: somewhere down the line, you can always come back" and Ike said he doesn't even want to think about coming back for now, he just wants to leave the internet for however long is necessary to fix his shit
- Kuro will check in with him from now on as well
- He doesn't think it needs to be blamed on anyone or anything, at least not until he comes out with his side
- "He wanted to stop doing shit, so he did so. Even though it included a lot of drastic measures like deleting the vods and everything instantly, it's what he wanted." "If that is what he needs to live comfortably, then I'd rather he vanish from the internet than get messed up as a person"
- He agrees with everything Ike told him and his decision and the amount of time he took to arrive there
- He got permission to answer questions
- "Will he ever come back?" Kuro's suggestion was to just completely leave for 6 months and not to think about anything else and see from there
- "Burnout is a good way to describe it but there is a lot more nuance to that"
- "He said he want's to get away from everything, including discord." "I'm not sure I'm gonna get a response for at least a couple of weeks" "He wants this, he wants to get away from everything to figure his shit out"
- "No graduation stream?" "Yeah, he didn't want to do that. Maybe you think of it as selfish, but there are reasons why he has done things the way he's done them" "It's not to do with the corpo, it's something personal to him"
- He is encouraging people to find him should he ever return.
- He didn't know that the others weren't told about Ike leaving and he doesn't know why. He's sure Ike has his reasons.
- If Ike tells him anything that is alright to relay, Kuro will update on his status
I put a lot of shit in "", but I still paraphrased so don't hold me to accuracy. The meaning is the same though.
If anyone has doubts about what I wrote here or what he said, watch the vod, it's in the first hour, most of it in the first 30 minutes. If the vod goes down, I have a backup.
He talks with authority and without second guessing, I have no reason to believe he is lying.
I'll probably watch the Michi vod later to see if she had something to say.
