Rima's videos on KoMETA and Owozu have been pretty good. It'd be cool to see her do a similar one on CyberLive, if she could get some of the ex-talents to talk to her off-the-record. I'm betting most would rather not, though, since most of them are much better off now and have little reason to dredge up years-old trauma.

This is interesting. Chiaki's keeping the IP, but will be rebranding (new model, and some new assets, overlays etc.). I knew she was getting a rebrand at some point, but it sounds like she's talking about an overhaul, unlike Raki, who will pretty much be continuing as she is now. She can't specify what stuff she's keeping and what will go through the rebrand. Can't go too much into the details of the IP acquisition either. There will be a re-debut too.

It does make sense since Chiaki's model was the very first Pixel used to advertise, before they had a pilot, so she had the least input on the design:

Thinking about those who aren't getting their IP, I can kind of understand the reasons (based on their tweets, announcements, and things they've said on stream):

• Lottie - funded her Lazuli model, and got attached to the new persona. The alt was opened a few weeks before everything went down, but that was more because she wanted a creative outlet for non-corpo stuff. It just so happened she already had something up.
• Wisu - heavily invested in Toffee, probably wants a fresh start, not wanting to pay more for an IP that she didn't have full control over, other unspecified reasons for not wanting to keep her IP, as much as she liked being Wisu
• Daiya - This I'm a bit surprised by, but Daiya has said before that the model was already in an advanced stage when she got on-board (makes sense as Kamame-mama has a queue). She seems to want to go in another direction with her Maia persona, showing more of her outward weirdness.
• Chio - Need I say more?
• Miuna - This is the one that breaks my heart. Miuna really loves her 2.0 and has wanted it for a long time. She did say she would get updated rigging for her PL model before. She's been dealing with a lot and will take a break after graduation to focus on studying. I do think a factor here is that she already had a donothon to fund her studies last year - she probably doesn't want to milk her fans for more, even if I'm sure that if she did an IP donothon like Raki is doing, it would get funded no problem.

Common factor with all of them is that they asked for funding for their alt models at some point. I imagine they would feel a bit dirty asking for more money to get their corpo IPs when they already solicited their fans when things looked shaky.

She really doesn't think she can raise the 10K, forgetting that Miuna easily raised 5K last year with change. Also PL Mane-chan being a real one helping her out setting up the donothon even though she's no longer under contract.

Caught up on Miuna's member's stream, and I took some notes for posterity:

Apparently, after the announcement stream, staff actually asked her if she wanted to change her mind. She decided not to and it was too late anyhow.

Miuna pretty much confirmed that the main reason she decided not to do what Raki is doing is personal - she would feel guilty asking for more money, especially after the donothon last year. Even if she held a donothon and she got the IP back, she would feel permanently indebted to everyone (in a bad way). It would be wiser for any money to go to her school fees over the IP. If she wasn't a student and had disposable income, then she would 100% get it.

Some other bits here too about the whole situation.

• The essence is that the situation was frustrating for everyone, but it seems to have been something no one could really do anything about.
• In a moment of frustration, Miuna straight up messaged Tora if he was dying, which he said he was not. He is recovering though (from what, she didn't say). "Very sick, but he'll be ok"
• Miuna doesn't know the exact reason why the IP can't be given away for free, but she doesn't blame Tora in this particular situation, since he did put a lot of money in the company (no mention if in whole or in part from his own pocket), and he's racked up some medical bills. She also understands the perspective that the IP might just go to waste though. She knows that her stance might not be popular, so she asked people not to quote her on that, even to the other girls (Sorry Miuna).
• She hopes that Tora won't open his Maros while he's recovering (since someone mentioned that he and the company have been getting flak on Twitter) "He strikes me as a dumb cat with one brain cell but in a good way"
• Generally feels she lucked out for her first corpo experience, can't say anything really bad about anyone, whether talents or staff. She describes the bond with everyone as "beyond work colleagues"
• She does mention that they have much fewer staff than other companies. At the beginning, it was just ToraP, 1 manager, and the talents - (I recall a Discord screenshot one of the girls showed on stream before which showed the company server. It showed Tora, and I think 2-3 staff members, plus the talents)

She also showed some of the art being prepared for her second outfit. It looks like things were in a fairly advanced stage when things were halted. There were some wallpapers and thumbnail art for videos ready.

Overall, she's in good spirits, just a bit overwhelmed.
