So the CEO has health problems, and he can no longer run the company, so Pixelink decides to close shop???

Something is amiss here. If Yagoo gets sick, would Hololive close??
didn't this already happen once before with a different small corpo, it's not that rare
These companies are run at a loss, usually straight out of the CEO's pocket (small corpos don't get investors) and dies when the CEO decides it doesn't worth the hassle anymore. Health reason is "I still want to do it but it's unavoidable circumstances".

Wisu is taking this hard. This is her 4th corpo now. Her cover had to be halted mid-production when everything went down.

She used to be on /vt/ so I'm certain she's aware of the "corpo killer" moniker.

It's interesting that she says she didn't get much input on Wisu's design, when Kanna says she sent a lot of suggestions to Mo-mama and most of them were accepted. It's a good reason why one's gone out of her way to buy her IP while the other prefers a fresh start that is hers from the ground up.

Raki talking now:

The donothon costs will be entirely from her own pocket. The usual practice in PixelLink in past donos is that the company would pay for the donothon incentives.

10K is the rounded-up cost for both the IP and donothon costs. Roughly 90% for the IP, 10% for the cost of the donothon. Raki really wanted to keep her stuff.

E: Second outfit is part of the cost of the IP. BUT she will need more time (and money) to get it up and running.
E2: When Tora's health got worse to the point that they were thinking about closing the company, they were given options about what to do. The final word on the IPs only came in the past few weeks.
E3: From /pxl/
ip.PNG

Not in the fancord, so I can't verify, but at least Raki doesn't have to worry about anything.

If the company was a business entity that owed debts to vendors/investors, they probably have to seek to get value from the assets as part of the winding down process. And if he died and the "restructuring" was the personal representative of the estate taking control, the PR is also fiduciarily obligated to seek value.

Shirayuri Production. Nyaru's previous corpo. Was a combination of the CEO having to retire due to health complications and the remaining staff unable to continue without him.

Don't know anything about her, but actually am listening to this at the moment. Best of luck to her on this. Hope she's able to raise the funds because it would be a shame to lose her identity she built up and seems important to her. Best wishes to the rest of them too.

A long time ago I did a business search for Eien and found it was incorporated in either Maryland or Delaware registered under a lawyer.
I then did it for Pixel Link, too. Incorporated in California in 2022.
Pixel Link was run by a Behavioral Therapist as his passion project. Romanian ethnicity, not sure how recent.

WE WERE FUCKING ROBBED.

On a more somber note, Miuna really put out a good word for Tora. It hits especially hard because she was the very first talent on-board.
>Tora once thanked me for believing in them, because they had nothing. I remember when they just told me their rough ideas and concepts, and I went "Ok, I'm in!"
>I want to thank Tora and the managers for giving me a chance. I was a nobody, I was a normal and boring girl that likes to sing on the internet and they found me.
>I will forever be thankful to them for saving me back then when I was dying in my 9-5 job. I feel like I was saved. I really hope after this Tora can focus on his recovery and get well soon.

Her job wasn't an office job either, she was a waitress at a cafe, and her dad is a taxi driver, if I'm not mistaken. She had to do a donothon to fund the cost of getting into college last year. Man. :depressedtako:

On the IPs, can't really verify, since I also took this from /pxl/, but apparently this guy is a project manager for Pixel (screenshot is purportedly from the Pixel Mod Discord):

They considered it, but it seems it's all done and dusted.

Nova's take:

VReverie PTSD must be hitting her hard.

Shiki said something too apparently (probably about the IPs not going for free like with Prism), but had the sense to delete it:

A
Shiki and Raki were acquainted back when they were both just utaites. It's probably how Caitlyn/Nerissa got word of this whole thing too.

Doesn't count, apparently:

Not what she said in the initial tweet tho.
I guess she weasels out of it by not counting her current arrangement as a "corpo" or whatever?

In this context, she is right. If the pixel girls owned their IP from the start and join the company like that, Pixel closing would only be a mild inconvenience and not a $10k ransom to keep all they worked for.

Funny that 10k is the same amount that bitch of EIEN was requesting but to the people she dislike, her loyal subjects got their ips for free
