I archived her member streams, but don’t have the space for the rest. Hopefully someone else has.
He means any tweets these girls make about this situation, there has been many occasions where a vtuber makes a tweet dumping a bunch of info and then instantly deletes it, if you see such a tweet then archive it as soon as you can, don't even bother posting here because it'll be gone by the time you try to archive it.

seems like they decided to stagger all the streams, Daiya Wisu pushed back all their streams a few hours back and Lottie less than an hour back, right after Kanna

So the CEO has health problems, and he can no longer run the company, so Pixelink decides to close shop???

Something is amiss here. If Yagoo gets sick, would Hololive close??

What kind of corpo dissolution reason is 'health of the CEO'?
Tora-P was keeping the company afloat with his own money?

Raki is going to hold a donothon to try and raise the $10k to buy her IP

Based Kanna bought her own IP using the money she got in her donothon, she said that she never touched it to be capable of buying her model. Man, this girl knows how to plan ahead.

They're selling the IP for under $10k? That seems oddly cheap.

PixelLink never seemed malicious, I'm guessing the price is around cost.

That's unusually generous either way, intellectual property valuation is usually inflated by projected future earnings even in completely honest business arrangements, so I guess we can take them at their word about the CEO's health being the only contributing factor to the closure.

Do we know anything about this guy? I can respect the decision to close up shop rather than sell it off to someone who'd run it into the ground, even if it's unfortunate to lose another agency.

Archives for you lazy motherfuckers:

On the one hand "just under $10k" is about right for a high-quality model nowadays, but on the other, the value of the model for a dead PixelLink is basically $0. I don't necessarily believe that talents are entitled to the IP when their corpo dies, but I do think it's silly to charge "full price."

You cannot compare a corpo run by a guy in his bedroom with less than 10 managers working over discord with a corporation with 600+ employees, offices in downtown tokyo and a board of directors. If Yagoo died then one of the C-suite would take over, probably Ikko.

In this case I believe "closing because of CEO sickness" because he's probably the guy paying for everything and telling others what to do. Though I do not doubt he could just be tired of it.

Most likely. Calling all of these endeavors "corpos" is misleading, "corpo" is short for "corporation" but I would struggle to call any of these even a "company" in the first place. Most are run by techbros with a bit of disposable income and make none of their initial investment back. The employees are a bunch of friends who aren't even on a payroll and probably just get paypal transactions, same with the talents. There's no physical office or any kind of office logistics, everything is run on slack if you're lucky or on discord+google docs if you're not.

Pixellink had a good run but I cannot imagine them ever being profitable. The owner was probably looking to recoup whatever debts he ended up with.

A lot of small businesses fail not because of external factors, but because the owner can't continue to run the business. Not only do CEOs provide direction and overall management for the company, they make sure the business is compliant with any relevant laws, and they also provide a lot of free labour, which is invaluable to small businesses who may be running on very small profit margins, if they're profitable at all.

As for Hololive and Yagoo, they have a board of directors who would work together to elect a new CEO that would run the company. As Nenelove said, a completely different story.

She always came off to me as a smart person, I was pretty confident she was going for this but I was just worried it was going to be really expensive and might cause problems. The kamogumis really pulled through for her though.

Yeah, Kanna would occasionally talk about management and they seemed to genuinely be really nice to the girls. It makes me sadder for the other girls who don't get to keep/buy their IP

Yeah, I suspect with a corpo like this the issue is that the guy running things is doing it as a passion project and willing to work for free, and you can't bring in a replacement for someone like that. "Just find another CEO" means finding someone who expects to earn a good salary that few if any small corpos could afford.
