Also Squirrel Girl has to have the worst ult in the game, the Steam achievement for getting 3 KOs using it is extremely optimistic.

It's a very situational ult. It works incredibly well in areas with lots of walls because it will bounce around and hit people multiple times. In open areas, it will do some damage and then run off forever becoming worthless. I've often thrown it to the side of the enemy team so it will bounce better and hit them from behind.

3) Speaking of - balancing. We're still in pre-season right now, but it feels like their approach is "If everyone is busted, no one is busted". There's few characters that don't feel TOO weak (Storm and Squirrel Girl could probably use some buffs) but otherwise balance feels in a good spot.

Storm's movement speed with her non-boosted speed aura is just....wow...not great..She's just a floating target most of the time and then an enormous threat when she has her ult.

I ain't playing it but it looks fun, the designs are chinese slop but even chinese slop blows away anything made in the last decade which is also fucking hilarious and embarrassing. the issue is entirely the rest of her kit.

If she's meant to be a free flight supportish dps character, I think beyond the flight speed her sphere Aura either needs to be larger, or it needs to have some persistentence for a few seconds after leaving the Aura to encourage bouncing around between party members.

On top of that, where's the rest of her weather manipulation? Why not give her a flash freeze zone that slows people for a while? How about a field of fog to obscure enemy vision too? I just think for what Storm is capable of, her kit is WAAAAAAAAAAAY too small.

eh several heroes suffer thiss starlord does not have elements for his element guns widow seems to have given her wrist guns to psyloke (who has wrist crossbows to fire her mind bolts for some reason) and sadly magneto magnetizing himself does not let him fly

I refuse to believe they won't just disable most movement abilities when holding the flag.

please make the flag too physically large to enter a strange portal at least then it will be funny.

It has A LOT going for it in terms of staying power. They already have like a dozen heroes in the pipeline and they aren't wasting any time at adding alternate gamemodes to keep people interested (planning CTF, the winter event is literally Splatoon). What a lot of people don't get is that this game has a huge benefit from being part of a decades long multimedia franchise, as it not only breeds familiarity but it makes memes, one of the core pillars of online gaming, immediately accessible. When something happens in an online game, someone might just share the clip and it would be "hey, look at this cool/funny thing". Meanwhile anything happens in Marvel Rivals:

>Iron Man gets his ult thrown back at him by Magneto's ult

Combine this with all the memes made by directly comparing it to OW or how quickly "artists" have gone to pump out Fan Animated Projects and there's plenty of gas in this train. This all comes down to whether NetEase kills their own game or not like Blizzard.

nah i think it's gonna be stupid unbalanced which will make it funni.

Honestly most "imbalance" issues could be resolved with a bit of thought on the developers part

If i was assigned to make this i would make it more like Flag Defense then CTF we already have distractable walls and even objects spawned by players


Quick and dirty: automated punisher turrets perhaps linked to some kind of generator with destructible base walls meaning you have to bee really good or really fast to just snatch the flag or maybe you spend 5 minutes literally digging through the base walls in a way that no turret can hit you or blow the turrets/generators so its safe to approach

Making the flag too heavy to carry would be interesting but also a bit weary, it would reduce the value of mobile heroes by a lot, unless they add the "if you get stunned you drop the flag" or other conditions like that, then it would balance it out as mobile ones could chase the carriers from spawn and save a point.

Tested Search for Seiso a little bit.

not a fan of permadeath hacks in general i dont like being cut out of content for making a strateegic descision and i dont like being stuck on a level because someone is easy to kill (fauna miko >.>)

I also loathe hacks that dont give you a convoy. maybe you get it past the point i reached but my inventories are already full and i know im missing items.

Seems well enough made but otherwise nothing special.

So I found out that the Marvel Rivals website actually has all the hero data. Not just generic "here's their abilities" but the exact damage numbers, attack frames, range, damage falloff points, and all these little details that are just not mentioned. Apparently Storm's main fire and alt fire pierces through enemies with no damage falloff for each enemy pierced. Meanwhile her weather aura is actually a sphere around her, not a cylinder, so flying around in the air makes the radius smaller for your teammates on the ground. Turns out she's meant to be played on the ground and is suppose to just lob through a cluster. So that's why her damage isn't great, she's meant to just hold chokepoints and just rip through the enemy as they attempt to funnel through.

There's a lot of interesting tidbits like how Ironman + Hulk is retarded because Ironman's armor overdrive buffed up through the team-up makes his unibeam do 220 dps.
