Oh, I'm gonna put this in here because it's funny.
I saw this tweet earlier.

This is funny, but there's more context, and the guy missed the actual best part.

It's from when the Mercs go to the Administrator's building. We see statues of other mercenary teams having been under the Administrator, with the letters A-E representing them.

F is clearly missing, likely because they are considered bottom of the barrel due to their eccentricities. (Team Fortress is their designation, hence the title drops like this, and this).

In Issue #6, Team Fortress Classic Heavy had said this, shortly before his death:

The other teams are all dead, with the TFC mercs having been said to kill them.

What this means: Team Fortress has, in-canon, outlived all of the teams who look like generic Overwatch clones.

At the end of creation long after humanity has been gone there will be still 2 AI constructs of two long dead furries idling on a spare ancient server of TF2 thats being kept online by willpower and noosphere autism

I thought FF7R did so poorly they weren't even doing the 3rd one.

I wish I liked it but I fucking hated it. The original 7 was my least favorite FF game, so I was surprised I liked the remake part 1 so much, but I fucking loathed the second one. Boring dead open world mini game collection with tech and performance issues that screamed "We had to rush this shit out the door!" I reached the Gold Saucer and was so bored I never went back.

How long until they get ahold of GoG and make sure more DRM is implemented because fuck gamers?
They've already tried numerous times to put shit with DRM on their store. Not only 3rd party games like the new Hitman but also their own titles like Witcher 2 years ago.

And frankly the few online games they have that bind the game to that account when you set them up is functionally DRM anyways.

They will only get worse.

Oh they're gonna do a third one - they have to for face's sake - but I'd be sweating if I was in their place.
I don't know how they're going to wrap up the time janny plotline in a way that satisfies. They're 2/3rds of the way through and have basically just finished fully explaining the stakes and what's going on. To then explore it and pay the whole thing off, in a game that's already going to need to be packed with a bunch of original content they'll have to cover that they haven't touched so far...that's a rough deal.
Sales have already been iffy for their efforts like people have already covered in the thread too - and there's the question of who they're even doing this plot for and if it's worth it. You need to have an encyclopaedic knowledge of decades of FF7 lore to understand half the shit they're showing you and why you should care. Not everyone's a sperg like me who actually does have that knowledge to get it off the cuff, and just because it's one of my favourite franchises doesn't spare it my disdain for writing that expects you to watch a bunch of secondary media/youtube videos afterwards to understand what you just played through.

Game structure, how games are monetized, how games are sold hell even for awhile how games are released Valve have done irreparable damage to gaming in succeeding in these where others failed. And all to mass applause

And until CD Projekt released Cyberpunk they too were getting cheers

Remember when Valve decided that one of their single-player video games should always be connected to the internet to prevent piracy? I remember.

I thought EA's origin was patient zero with the always-online single player horseshit. Guess I thought wrong.

How is this shit still going, skin gambling should have died with all the rigging that happened 7-8 years ago.

that's how. it blew up people thought it was done and lost interest.

nature abhors a vacuum new scum came in set up shop and people just lost interest.

for CS players it was business as usual so why would they care again not to mention most didin't care in the first place because most are smart enough to not partake in obvious scams.

People pretended to care when big youtubers did it but as soon as that drama went out of vouge they just resumed business as usual, the rise of Kick brought gamba sites back into the mainstream

There's some new anime gacha every week, I think they're well-stocked at the moment.

They don't have the ability to get actual money out of the other end, though. The skins casinos are a work-around for actual, real money gambling, which is way more serious and addictive.

Finally managed to get enough life on my blood-mage to support using my ascendancy points, and enough crit to keep myself slightly overhealed. It also helps that once you finish Cruel, there's much more mob management than solo boss arena type stuff, which actually keeps the overheal relevant. I do think it's probably the worst early-game ascension you could possibly pick. And one of the worst late-game ascensions you could possibly pick. But it does feel nice to have all that spell crit. That you definitely wouldn't get from just playing lightning sorceress. With actual energy shield synergies so you don't get one-shot by an endgame crab from across the map.

:gunpeko:

On a positive note, boy do you get some damage out of Hexblast on a full crit build. It chains through enemies, so if you use minions to get them all blobbed up in one spot? Devastation. It's nice to have options for mob removal that aren't just "spam Detonate Dead until you're out of corpses".

Jonathan and Dave are back together. For those unaware, Dave was behind Gamespot's wildly successful Firearms Expert Reacts series with Jonathan before being unceremoniously laid off.
