Big difference between Holo and Niji is that Niji spent a whole year nuking people's goodwill (which if you have a functioning memory was BETTER than Holo's in 2022 since Niji was seen as a cooler, freer alternative).
Holo can tank things people dislike because
1. There isn't an obvious glaring issue people can point to (even if they have tried to create one out of whole cloth with the IPO shit or "THE COMPANY HAS CHANGED" shit) and rally around to bitch about the corpo. There's nothing to tie to the recent graduations and say "THIS DEFINITELY CAUSED IT! LE PROOF OF IMMINENT CORPO DEATH!"
2. Holo kinda looks really good in comparison to literally everything else on the market atm, there's nobody big enough to really say "HEY LOOK SO-AND-SO IS MOGGING THE SHIT OUT OF HOLOLIVE!!!!! HAHA THEY CAN'T EVEN COMPETE!" like people did when Niji was getting into EN and with Salami's breakout success that lasted 2 days
3. They have a heap of goodwill from years of brand-building and cementing loyalty in the fanbase. You may see a lot of people shit on Hololive out in the wild but most of these guys are not fans of the company and probably never really were apart from casually consuming the content, everyone and their mother loves talking about what Holo is doing at any given time and they loudly judge the company for every move because they're the industry leader, but these people don't really matter because they were never customers in the first place. What matters to these corpos is the core fanbase, the guys who watch the concerts, buy the merch and go to irl meetups. What fucked Niji over was fostering a toxic and aggresive core fanbase and then slowly and excruciatingly making it die out for months and draining any and all trust people had in them.
A lot of corps can tank tons and tons of drama even if it's obvious they're shitting the bed because large core loyal customer bases will still drive production forward. Which is bad in the long run and it is how you end up with companies like Nintendo which can buttfuck their customers a thousand times and still be praised and still retain a massive market share.
People have to accept that these corpos are so big that the only way they go down is suicide or a huge industry shakeup, no amount of brigading or joining forces by a bunch of retards is gonna take them down.
I think in case of a vtuber war Holo and phase should make an alliance. Holo would be the nazi germany and Phase would be the imperial japan.
