To an extent, I can understand. When I first went ~online~ in the magical time of the early oughts, I said some cringe shit that I'm exceedingly happy has since disappeared from the internet.
When you're young and don't have meaningful social ties offline, the internet can be a drug that undoes whatever passes for the socialisation you've had.
Thing is, most people, when called out on their cringe shit, eventually change. Not instantly, of course. It's a gradual change, not the flick of a switch. It takes years and years and in truth, never actually stops.
There'll still be cringe shit, too. Sometimes it's harmless, stuff you can look back on and laugh. Sometimes it'll be shit you dearly wish you could go back in time to change. That kind of cringe is usually dealt with by never mentioning it again.
But by and large, people get better over time. They understand why they're being called out and adjust accordingly.
Early Nolan? No problem. Early twenties turbo autist being cringe on the internet? Common as dirt.
What everyone has issues with is that current Nolan has inexplicably gotten worse.
Nobody expects an early twenties turbo autist to become a wise male hag to shoot the shit with after a year or two.
But people generally expect an early twenties turbo autist to not actively regress.

A bit of RL posting here, but, as an early twenties turbo autist myself, I cannot agree more. It takes a lot to get you out of your cringe phase, even more to beat the retard out of you, and it never really goes away per se, you just get better at suppressing it through reflection and introspection. This precisely is what I find some simultaneously fascinating and frustrating about Nolan - I have constant callouts and "reap what you sow" moments to thank for making me, well, not like Nolan, who just doesn't really seem to get it - how is it that people call out your behavior, on a constant, practically daily basis, which you always claim to learn from, and your first response is "go fuck yourself you fucking cunt asshole. how dare you" whenever it happens again? it boggles the mind. Once again, he may not be a cow just yet, but he's definitely got the makings of one. And as someone who almost walked that path once, I cannot help but feel something comparable to that psych damage you get when you watch a vtuber fuck up the most simple of tasks in a game you're well versed in.

On the topic of Discord shenanigans, I could at least inform you that a fandom discord-- especially those created for specific fan communities (like the hakkitos server or the hololive/holostars server in general) are Very hugbox-y and takes their shitton list of rules seriously, doesn't matter if you're a weirdo from Ohio or random fan #79839. The ones dominated by girls/minors are notorious for making their server a "positive community center" by all accounts because none want to deal with controversy or drama that will cloud their perception of their perfect oshi.
I've seen some of these server jannies willingly throw even their fellow mod away like trash just because they don't want their "internal fights" breaks on the server and ruin the happy vibes of their server even if the one that started the whole misunderstanding was themselves.
These servers do not want you to break their overall "girl clique" vibes, which is why your attempt to break the ice falls on borderline creepy to them (Even if you saw them joking about similar stuff, do remember that these members have known each other for a while VS you who just came into the server). They expect you to follow the rules and do a lukewarm approach in the name of being "safe and comfy" otherwise you get the boot, which is what you get there.

Discord is more harmful to children (and adults) than almost any other site I've been on, there's literal fucking people who go around servers looking for children to befriend and then lead back to their own dens of grooming, there isn't a more child unfriendly site in the whole internet. I agree to some extent, to be honest, it's an ironclad rule that works to maintain a server especially if you're manning one with huge members count and there's nothing wrong to enforce it at some point to keep stupid people from sperging randomly. What I hate though is the nature of hugbox-feels they have will have them unable to be critical, especially towards their oshi, that's why you don't see them arguing about Vesper's xcom saga or any other shit that isn't about "having fun".
Also minors will always try to find ways into degenerate shit eventually, what they need is someone who can explain to them why stuff is degenerate, not straight up banning any talks about it

If you break the rules and get slapped, decide on your own whether to stay and learn the rules better, or whether you should leave and tell yourself you're in the right. Instead you repeatedly expect the Asylum to vindicate you, when that's against the rules ("report the news, don't be the news").
Also, in this case some people just wanted you to complain somewhere else, while some people say you shouldn't have made that joke. This is expected; the Asylum isn't a hivemind. A bit tangental, but this is something I particularly dislike about the modern internet, in that the current era of adult content has no precedent in previous generations so I feel like parents underestimate how much of a risk it actually poses.
I saw boobies on Page 3 as a child and I saw chicks getting railed on Pornhub as a teenager, and while as an adult I now realise I probably shouldn't have been there, it at least didn't cause me any major harm (beyond some of the more extreme stuff making me feel uncomfortable in the moment). The problem is that modern adult content also has a social element to it - stream chats on the Twitch thot streams, Discord servers, OnlyFans DMs etc.. If a minor sneaks onto those platforms then the issue isn't just that they're seeing some tits, it's that the performer is directly exposing themselves to the child/teenager, while they're surrounded by other aroused adults who may or may not clock on to the fact they're underaged. Those adults can then invite the child into a private conversation and escalate it further, all while maintaining plausible deniability because kids in adult communities will have lied about their age to get in in the first place. It's a dangerous environment all around.
Harmful Opinions put out a video dissecting the issue (primarily in the context of ethots) pretty well a few days ago, if anyone's interested.
