That only matters if people are asking for collabs and getting turned down though. Are there any terminated vtubers out there who probably would be collabing with holo if management wasn't blocking it? I mean, apart from the ex-holos who are almost certainly persona non grata....

EA is notorious for anti-consumer stuff, but their employee stuff is actually on the better end for video game companies. Not good admittedly cause video game companies are shitshows, but still.
They are regarded as one of the best AAA workplaces to work for. They overhauled their culture after getting outed as being awful during the 2000s.
The unfortunate truth is that studios under EA are apparently given a lot of freedom. Meaning when all these beloved developers shit the bed, they are usually doing it to themselves and not because of an EA mandate.
Management can be part time but the talents can't be.
being a good place to work doesn't always equals in a good product served to the public... most of EA games could be rebranded as "Micro transaction - the game" and no one would notice...

Holo has never been a copy of Niji or vice versa.
For one holo came first, starting in september 2017 while Niji was created in february 2018. Same with their respective EN branches where Holo started in september 2020 and Niji in may of 2021.
Even if you argue that Holo "copied" Niji's use of live2D (I'd call that more of an industry innovation since it changed what vtubing even WAS) Holo has never really tried to emulate Niji except for two instances: Tempus and HoloID, both of which are DEBATABLY responses to Niji's expansions.
In all other aspects Holo had it's own road and generally copied Idol culture much more than the "just regular streamers" identity that Niji took on, which is why Hololive vtubers are called "Talents" aka; performers and Niji vtubers are called "Livers" aka; just livestreamers. Neither company has ever tried to be like the other on a fundamental level.
Company can be nice place and good work culture, but it's all soured when your project is thwarted into incoherent donation dumpster.
