It suffers from world's walk around for 20 mins talking "cutscenes" that you can't skip cause of it not being an actual cutscene. It's pretty fucking long with a lot of story.

They treated it as the emergency button, the "We need money now" option that they put back when they still had a small team of people who could make good games. That doesn't work anymore when the retard pressing the button cuts themselves on the glass.

I think it was around AC2 or Brotherhood when fans wouldn't shut up about Japan and the devs responded saying was boring because it was too obvious. They were clearly keeping it in their back pocket as a "break glass in case of emergency". Then Sucker Punch took all the hype of a Feudal Japan game and now that fire extinguisher is empty. If there was no Ghost of Tsushima, the game would have sold regardless of what else was going on because people were drooling for game set in Feudal Japan that had a grounding in reality instead of mythical shit like Sekiro.

Now that they were nearly 1 billion in debt after their entire 2024 flopping like Skull & Bones and Star Wars Outlaws, they REALLY needed that fire extinguisher. Then they found out that their DEI retards made it all worse by adding Yasuke and like a dozen other embarrassing fuckups and controversies with the game, so their DEI retards have effectively refilled that empty fire extinguisher with gasoline. If Ghost of Tsushima hadn't come out and they had somewhat decent devs that put out a mid normieslop game, it would have sold over 15 million easy.
