They fucked up killing des in 3. The shift from following a consistent modern story to jumping between characters with weird disjointed plots killed any interest I had in the modern stuff.

idk if its a complaint. I think she sees it the same way I do. Black flag is a brilliant fucking game, the best game under the AC name, but it's not the best assassin game they have made. It's one of the best pirate game's I've ever played but AC2 is the best AC game thats actually about assassins. I fucking HATE ubi for ruining it and turning it into western rpgslop.
