Yeah I'd really like to know whether they exercised any kind of due diligence before sending people off to be alone with this creep. To be fair - it was supposedly a fairly well respected studio - but I still wonder whether this would've been preventable with more safeguards in place (like having managers present, as you said). At the very least, I think going forwards they have to assume that everyone is capable of this shit and protect their livers accordingly. There's a real possibility that YAB is just the tip of the iceberg.

Curious if Twisty and Klara stay around. They seem dedicated despite the low views. Sunny on the other hand had a similar audience before Niji.

I could see Twisty leaving to go join the small corpo/indie cute girls sphere, I guess it will be a while before that is on the table though. Currently I'm more interested in what Vivi, Aia, and Scarle are planning considering all 3 of them have been somewhat active on their PL accounts lately.

Holo may use outsourced mixer and producer but everything is done inside Cover studio with staff, managers and other talents moving around.
Niji doesn't have their own studio and have to mostly rely on outsourced studios. They should at the very least protect their golden gooses safety, this is akin to letting your gooses go by themselves and panicking when they got run over by a truck.

Those aren't questions I want to be thinking about while watching any sort of entertainment, and certainly not when I'm deciding whether to open my wallet to support a talent and the company they work for.

Yeah, I know the difference. My point is like basically being a worker in Kurosanji is the most relaxing job ever, you no need to give a shit to talent until these shits happened. Most of the time you can just not giving a fuck to anything, outsourcing the shit without doing any background check, and rely on third party to expose stuff.

For certain I know Niji has their own studio as of this year. Almost certain that they have had one for some time.

Niji dropped the ball being late or ignoring issues with this fuck. It has nothing to do with in house or other studios.

And Europeans have long standing cultural norms of diddling kids and age of consent laws ranging from 12 to 16. Directive 2011/92/EU, which is the EU standardized directive against CP, only came out in 2011. This is America and maybe Britain against the world on this one. From what I was seeing on 2ch, the Japanese seem to be generally in the same boat as us. There was a general acceptance of Niji's incompetence, and even calling out delusional Nijifans like we'd see here. NDF is more numerous over there, but the general populace seems to be pretty on top of what's going on in the company right now.
