People would notice if it was enough people within a sub unit or a gen. It's vtubing. It's Nijisanji.
Nobody notices a "strike" because Nijisanji in particular has talents that haven't streamed for several years still on the books. Other corpos aren't far behind, either. Hololive has 2021- 23 Ayame and 2023- current Gura.
And these are top talents, not 2views whose combined impact on corporate finances amounts to a rounding error.
Smaller corpos don't look meaningfully different, even if we ignore the Hime Hajime meme.
If it's standard industry practice to not give a shit if the talents don't stream, the fuck would a strike do?
Nijisanji trimming the fat actually has them only with slightly more people than HoloEN and Holostars EN combined (26+1 english speaking Holos total vs 30 NijiENs total)
Even if you just count HoloEN, its still 16+1, barely over half (the +1 here being FWMC)
Sum up the HoloIDs that also have fairly large EN followings and you also have 9 more ESL EN-speaking talents, while NijiID's EN fanbase was congregated around Hana Macchia and Mika, and there are only 6 IDs remaining anyways
They are slowly losing the numbers bulk that allows people to not notice things, especially after the entirety of 2024 gave them a huge spotlight of drama, i think if it were to happen, which it really probably wont, it would be noticeable even if just 3 or 4 people participate.
