Edit: She apparently has some medical issues that will force her to go on hiatus. She was supposed to appear at the upcoming NijiFes but now she will no longer be able to. She was really apologetic about that specifically since people already bought tickets, some probably with the intention of seeing her in particular.

I mean, here's a whole 10 minute, translated statement from GYARI, the creator of Voms about it where he stated it had been discussed for months before the actual announcement.
Anyone who actually watched Pikamee around that time knew she was showing more and more disinterest with Voms while choosing to spend the little time she did stream in those days playing with Kson or lazing around with react shit on Twitch over doing anything with the rest of Voms. That doesn't take into account how she barely used her official model anymore after getting her iksekai live 2D, either.
I don't see what sense it makes that the HL drama would cause her to graduate just for her join the company, less than 2 months later, that pretty publicly offered no help to one of their own getting harassed for the same drama (Silvervale).

It's still too much of a coincidence, but the only real debate is whether HL shitsow actually expedited anything or was just an excuse to take a break. Also, i can argue that she is another petty brat and very well could've do it like that to own libtard antis.

It was brought up, but there was a lot of going around that probably covered it up. Everyone's initial reaction WAS that the drama caused it, after all. It did still rob people of more time of Pikamee as Pikamee, in the end. She had been on break for around a month or so at that point from being sick and the hate she got when she indicated she was gonna play it discouraged her from coming back for the first time in a while to stream and IIRC she was silent up until her graduation announcement.
The fact that they didn't successfully bully her into graduating doesn't absolve them from trying to bully her into graduation or taking credit for it when they thought that they had done so.
Yeah, it didn't cause her to graduate but only looked that way at the start. None of the less, it was incredibly fucked up and soured the whole thing leading up to her graduation. Even though she didn't graduate because of it, they still tried to bully her into graduating and celebrated and took credit for it when she did graduate.

To add to this, the medical issues itself isn't exactly specified but from some folks who understood japanese enough, it seems to be an injury on her leg or foot that 'still hurts even after checkup'. Even some mentioned possibility of ACL tear, but I can't exactly confirm.
Either way, the injury definitely won't allow her to do anything on-stage until it heals so any 3D related or IRL activities is pretty much dead in the water. Not sure why the no clipping or screenshots ruling, but I assume its to not cause misinformations by morons.

Also, I should add that the idea of a hiatus was my understanding of the immediate reaction in chat and social media. It seems like it might not even be a full hiatus but rather a period of reduced activity where she will still stream sometimes while focusing on recovery.

I doubt we will hear anything until it gets closer to the date on Aster's waiting room for his postponed 3D announcement (Jan 31). It basically fits the schedule they established after the investigation started (3D debuts being held every 2 weeks, with announcements every other week). Still a possibility that Twisty gets fired but I think from the start they always intended for Aster to stay.
The fact that Twisty was allowed to stream for her birthday makes it a lot harder to guess what they're doing, as the most obvious action would be to terminate her immediately for all those DMs that must have breached NDA in some way before even starting on Aster.
Its possible they do the same for him and let the 3D debut out for some easy money before locking him back up.
