They had whole year to sufficiently reproduce lightshow in whatever software they use for rendering, and they did NOTHING!

Yes, but coming from an IRL performer, bad lighting can ruin an otherwise good show. It’s also harder to light things properly in the real world due to it being bound by laws of the real world. Even compared to augmented reality, with the virtual world being superimposed on top of said real world.

Investors aren't happy with Cover because they're unwilling to cut every corner possible to fuel profit and to grow faster even though they're still growing very fast.

Investors aren't happy with Anycolor because they're willing to cut every corner possible to fuel profit and to grow faster but their growth is slowing down and the only non-domestic branch is imploding like all their other attempts to expand to outside markets.

There's a very big difference between those two simple data points. When a company straight up tells greedy investors that they're not going to be greedy as fuck, investors get pissed because a lot of them just want to see the growth in any way possible and expect a company to only care about that. For Anycolor, it's a far worse situation where they have to explain to their investors that they're trying but failing to do what they want. Both these companies still have their Q4 coming up.

Neither corpo is gonna die due to stocks, or get taken over and destroyed by investors since both own the vast majority of their shares. The only difference between Cover and Anycolor when it comes to stocks is that Cover got an essentially free studio out of it while Niji wasted the same amount on pumping their worthless stock.

There are actually many people saying that Cover should repurchase their stocks during the dip, idk what implications that has or if it's even a smart decision.

As a very practical matter, "investors" don't exist (in common discussion parlance), have no actual sway and have no desires. The creation of the fictional "investors" is a myth pushed by Financial Media so they can claim to have a logical reason to still exist when they've always been PR Agents for someone trying to make money off a position. For any decently capitalized stock, what matters is a sustained in flow/out flow that can support larger institutional positions. Considering both Anycolor and Cover are still majority controlled (especially in Cover's case, being only a very small float of the total shares) by individuals, those individuals are the only ones that actually matter. The stock price simply isn't relevant unless they've decided its relevant.

Cover used making some of their stock public as a funding round, which is classically the point. Anycolor used it as a Tech Bro leverage play, which is why they clearly care a lot more about the number than Cover ever will.

More importantly, the stock market isn't really driven by the decisions of hobby investors.

It's driven by algorithms and the decisions of hedgefund managers (which use algorithms).

The algorithms don't see an amazing Holofes and a lame Niji concert. The algorithms see "Stock with tag "Virtual Youtuber" goes down", and apply a negative value change to all stocks with tag "Virtual Youtuber".

Funny thing is, the algorithms are in fact better than human traders, and long term, they correct incorrect valuations quite efficiently (e.g. Cover's next quarterly should course correct upwards). But in the short term, they can have hilarious results (there was a case some years back where a company just added an assload of Metaverse and crypto tags to its stock and exploded in value despite having precisely dickall to do with any of that techbro shit).

In fact - yes, their previous audition was them huffed up on their ass farts and demanding that people only try to join if they are talented at singing, dancing, producing music and are willing to go hard in playing a character during streams. Just about every question in that audition was asking for your credentials in this areas, making it plainly obvious if you can't provide examples they will throw your audition into the trash bin. They are also time gated, so once the timer is off you can't apply anymore.
I will make a wild guess and say they had zero applications meeting their demands, because anyone at that level would rather wait for a couple more years and spam Holo inbox, while grinding as an indie to get even more recognition in the scene and higher chances next time they send their resume
This is a grim admission that anyone with talent will not apply to their company anymore, and last audition was before any scandals making current situation even worse. They already scraped the bottom of the barrel with last couple of waves, this is breaking through the floor and trying to pump out dirt water from the ground acting like it's wine. But hey, at least the new livers will be undoxxable, because they will be literal noones with a couple subscribers on their PL if even that

Being unknown don't make you opsec good, there's just no drive to go against a John/Jane doe... the problem is if Niji accept people that should be in a Denny's parking lot, they will be so unstable that would probably just be the last straw... but Daddy Tazumi needs a way to replace the play buttons he should've gained with the former Niji members.
