Atlas Shrugged and The Fountainhead were written by the same woman and I'd say The Fountainhead is a nice concise story that's far more enjoyable than the scattered plot of Atlas Shrugged that's trying to be too many different things at once.
Jun Maeda who wrote Air/Kanon/Clannad/Angel Beats/Little Busters can pretty much only write one kind of story, and that is tearjerker drama/romance. Any deviations from his classic formula turns out shit.
