Kick has a lot of potential, and it seems like they're trying hard to avoid the "Alt-platform problem" - that is, being a meeting ground for all the banned extremists and conspiracy theorists.

Kick's success *really* comes down to how Twitch handles themselves in the coming years. Its no secret that Twitch is losing people, so they need to either change direction, or just milk as much money as they can from the their users/creators.
The fact that they unbanned a bunch of rule-breaking black streamers (like LTG) shows that they're pretty desperate to maintain their userbase.

I don't think it's even so much the avoiding the boomer cons, but rather they're ok with what's fun. Nothing against the Rumble folks, but the Daily Wire exists on Youtube as is and they do that thing very well, same with Tim Pool, so I don't really need to go to Rumble that often. Mixer had the same issue, but with gamers, Ninja might be big but so was Wings or Elsa Rapes Spiderman dot channel. It's shit that's in ample supply.

Kick seems to have captured that weird sliver of Ice Poseidon who spawned their own genre. There's still a ton of shit they need to fix, but if they can pull off getting more people like Tyler1, Pigeon Pete, and so on, they might actually make it work. Odysee could have done it but their weird crypto shit, and I say this as someone who loves crypto, makes their platform suck.
