Kay Yu literally refuses donations for Holocure as it is because they don't want it to be an obligation. It's a for fun fan project they like to do in their spare time. I imagine that would extend to doing something that's a copy.

Panko talked about if she was a Vampire Survivors/Holucure type character in one of her streams. Said she would throw raccoons at enemies and that would "stun" them somehow. Not sure what she meant.
