im barely 5 minutes in but its a very critical summary of all the times Squirmimi had gone against brave management. Mostly consisting of liking dissenting opinions, all her complaints, vaugeposting and snide comments. Alongside the bitching she did because of her throne, alongside revealing Ilou/Seely had contacted him just before the notice was sent out.

If she developed her under contract with globie and didn't bring an already existing copyrighted design she's SOL, isn't she? She has certain moral rights as the original creator, but globie owns the IP and all commercial usage. It's like Stan Lee creating half of the Marvel roster, he will forever have the right to get a "Spider-man, created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko" mention in every new issue of the comics and in the film credits, but he couldn't have taken Peter Parker to DC or a creator-owned independent publisher like Image Comics, where for example Robert Kirkman gets all the royalty money from the Walking Dead or Invincible adaptations and Image themselves don't see a cent. Or how Garth Ennis could take The Boys from Wildstorm Comics to Dynamite Entertainment because as a DC subsidiary the former refused to keep publishing such a nasty parody of their characters.

It doesnt matter where or how she developed the character. The important thing is who paid for the artist and for the rigging. If she did (which I doubt) then she probably has some claim to the character. IF she didnt then she is shit out of luck. Nothing is stopping her from just paying another artist and rigger to do another take on that same concept.

One of the main point these girls have used to defend themselves is that the corpo broke contract by firing them on the spot and not giving them a warning.

IIRC, the prevailing idea was that the talents are only given special 3D lives during birthdays and that any other special solo 3D live performance that they want to do comes out of their own pocket. The thing that Cover does is that they let the talents "borrow" or take a loan on the cost of the 3D live or other personal projects related to their character (like production costs for original songs) and then recoup that as a paycheck deduction moving forward until the load is paid off. It's the reason Moona has joked that she can't retire since she still has to pay back Yagoo and there was a clip of Bae posted the other day saying that she's still owes Cover for last year's sololive and now has this latest 20025 one on top of it - leading to her paycheck last month "going under" due to the deductions.
