Actual summary:
- Right now they are focusing on Licensing. They haven't even tackled merch shit yet but know that it should be sorted out ASAP. English-speaking talent support are "on their radar" and "soonTM".
- The US office actually has 13 staff, mostly in their 20-30s and 4 leaders.
- Talked about her prior experience with Japanese companies expanding overseas, they are often mired with power struggles that nothing gets done. She also initially has doubt about Hololive but was convinced by Saigo Max that "this one is different".
- Is a theatrical kid and a mother (don't know how this is relevant but sure, I think some vtweeter was wailing here the other day about how vtubers companies should be headed by a parent?)
- Joined Cover because she liked Yagoo's respekt for creators and that Hololive already has a global presence.
- Prefer having her staffs with clear strength and weakness, who can show individuality rather than corporate drones. And don't believe in the "conveyer belt" approach to business departments of normal companies.
Tl;dr theatre kid who gets too much redpilled by foreign media.
the best thing about cutting down on 3D live is anniversary 3D became free rather than talents throwing money at 1 birthday 1 anniversary. It sucks for those who really wants to do both. But hey if you have that much free time maybe you can host a flesh concert like Matsuri/AZki does.
IDK the entire logistics and cut, but usually "Things on hololive channel paid by hololive". These wouldn't have existed without cutting down 3D anniversaries. Kiara's complaining work, sorta. Still no myth 3D. But maybe that's a Myth issue rather than Holo issue (not wanting to be called Myth without Ame). NVM Brain damage
Speaking of Matsuri/AZki having side idol gigs. One of hololive issues is that the JP talents are too fucking hard working (Calli included). They always opted for doing both anni & birthday 3D before the policy changes. It is hard to stay passive in such an environment when everyone is trying and you will get burnt out keeping up with their pace if you don't have the same drive. Yes things are always "optional", but when your colleagues take on 10 out of 5 given "homework" (they will take on extra work be it PL or main), you might feel inadequate if you don't accomplish at least 4 out of 5. This is a huge trap and sadly a lot fell through it.
Unless proven otherwise, my rrat is Chloe faceplanted right through this, she didn't think she could stay at hololive if she goes through with the surgery and won't be able to keep up with the workload and chose graduation.
