the best thing about cutting down on 3D live is anniversary 3D became free rather than talents throwing money at 1 birthday 1 anniversary. It sucks for those who really wants to do both. But hey if you have that much free time maybe you can host a flesh concert like Matsuri/AZki does.

Speaking of Matsuri/AZki having side idol gigs. One of hololive issues is that the JP talents are too fucking hard working (Calli included). They always opted for doing both anni & birthday 3D before the policy changes. It is hard to stay passive in such an environment when everyone is trying and you will get burnt out keeping up with their pace if you don't have the same drive. Yes things are always "optional", but when your colleagues take on 10 out of 5 given "homework" (they will take on extra work be it PL or main), you might feel inadequate if you don't accomplish at least 4 out of 5. This is a huge trap and sadly a lot fell through it.
Unless proven otherwise, my rrat is Chloe faceplanted right through this, she didn't think she could stay at hololive if she goes through with the surgery and won't be able to keep up with the workload and chose graduation.

I think the workload did influence Chole but Miko and Haato both took extended leave and there is Ayame and Shion. Still, she probably felt guilt like Mio did missing her Gamers event because she was fucking dying. I think if Chole had more "friends" behind the scenes she would not have left, Suisei talked about how she wished she knew earlier and talked to her. When she comes back we might get some more info.

I brought it up when V4mirai 3 dropped and their talents literally got to 50k and then dropped DEAD, most people ignored it or justified it with "le ads".

People have been overestimating how much ads actually help I guess.

The only two companies with a built in fanbase to hit those numbers predebut in EN are Hololive and Nijisanji. Maybe VShojo for EN specifically, but they couldn't do those numbers with their JPs so we'll have to see with their upcoming ENs. Phase went hogwild with ads and sponsorships like the Vtuber awards for Gen 3 and barely broke 10k predebut.

It's very far from my area of expertise so take this with an entire salt block, but what I'm seeing from a search is that non-competes only apply in France to salaried workers and that the former employer must provide monetary compensation in exchange.

Vshojo can't really be compared since all of their (((original))) ENs have just been ex-Niji/ex-Holo and were already massively popular + drama boost. The rest are just big indies with already established sub counts.
