TLDR: PC Builder she used ghosted her and then tried to scam her by claiming it took 120 hours to build the PC and it's going to cost $14.9k to build the PC when the parts only cost the builder $3.8k. Builder refuses to provide a time-lapse to verify the labor hours despite originally claiming a time-lapse video exists and threatens a $4k cancellation fee despite Doki never signing a contract. Doki resolves with the auction winner and pays them back their bid+$900. Dramatuber misrepresents the situation and tries to paint her as a manipulator.
>Doki does an auction charity where people bid for a Dokibird themed PC built by celestefleurs that's suppose to be worth $3.5k market value in parts
>auction ends March 3rd, 2024 and the winning bid is $6.6k
>Doki gets distracted by bullshit with old management (read as: Doki's parents, especially her mom) trying to take over her brand while she was living with them
>its such a shitshow that she has to deal with police and lawyers
>eventually her actual managers tell her that the PC build needs to be resolved because they haven't received any progress report after 6 months
>somehow the builder started increasing the quoted price for the PC from $6k, $8k, $12k, and all the way to $14.9k while the parts only cost $3.8k
>the builder explains it with a timelog showing they somehow spent 120 fucking hours building a PC and threatens a $4k fee if Doki cancels
>Doki doubts the builder's timelog and says to provide a time-lapse video of the PC build to verify it, which the builder previously claimed existed
>builder ignores Doki at this point and eventually Doki realizes this is just a shitshow scam, such as Doki finding out that she was also getting charged every time her team contacted the builder and yet the builder never communicated this
>Doki explains to the retard builder that there was no contract signed between them and they never agreed to any finalized scope, so get fucked on that $4k fee
>Doki goes to a new PC builder by using her Hyte case where she would upgrade all the parts
>Doki orders all the parts through Amazon and it ends up costing $9395 USD
>Amazon canceled the parts order shortly before the auction winner's travel date, meaning they could no longer deliver the PC when they arrived
>Doki and the auction winner agreed to Doki giving them $7.5k to build their own non-themed PC, so the winner walks away with a $900 gain for the troubles
>Dramatuber posts a video 2 days later (yesterday) after the payment had already been made
>Dramatuber edits the video description and pinned comment later to say Doki did pay the auction winner but implied she only did it because of public pressure
>Dramatuber is now trying to pin blame on Doki for not paying the artist
>It's just Doki being late to pay because she's a disorganized retard but she has historically always made sure artists get paid even when Nijisanji was stiffing them
EDIT: It appears the artist mentioned by the dramatuber was actually the PC Builder that tried to scam her and she had no contract with.
This is a not actually a full tl;dr of the situation you are missing something here
>
The dramatuber made the document, not the builder
> Dramatuber is fully aware of the insane amount of money the person claimed,
> Dramatuber censored the labour cost from the document
> Dramatuber claimed the $8k labour cost was "minimum wage", and "any time spent on research is counted as working hours"
> The 120 hours labour quoted for a mock-up.
> "Artist"/builder several time misses deadline for the mock-up, citing tummy hurts.
> The builder is demanding $6000 in payment in labour cost for creating a drawing of the product not the finished product.
> Had doki actually commissioned her I'd believe she's gonna charge her at least $20k for "labour cost"
And here's the part where they used as ammunition against doki:
> The builder wasn't aware that Doki was going to buy the parts, the entire process was unprofessional.
> There were 3 different managers & Doki who was in communication with the builder, all had completely different "strategy"
> Doki apologized many times admitting fault on her part, even if it wasn't. In an effort to hurry along the project.
>the video is a recap of a twitch stream from a week ago. At the time of the stream. Doki hasn't paid the buyer.
Doki did fuck up. She hired a bunch of shitters, then she decided to took it upon herself. Then she decided to drop it for a 5th person to get involved. Who then threw a full document with all kinds of legal jargon about how he know nothing about the previous management and all their previous agreement voided. Instead of calling out the builder's bs. All of this would have been avoidable if she had competent managers. Indie is the future guys.
