I'm a little curious to get other people's take on this moment. I was listening to the stream live and it certainly raised an eyebrow, but I ended up joking about it in the Liveposting thread and promptly forgot about it after that. However, there are several people in the clip comments who are actually mad at Gigi for going too far, and on a re-watch it does come off a little awkward, I guess?

Holofan verdict? I watch too many shrieking indie goblins/Phase members, I'm used to chuubas telling people to go fuck themselves.

About the most recent NijiEN wave:
I think people are underestimating how much of a boost even the current diminished NijiEN audience can be to someone who is struggling to find any audience at all, which is most male indie VTubers.
Also, the male EN Livers, even those that didn't enjoy the spoils of the one or two years of NijiEN heyday, are doing relatively well for themselves and are some of the few channels that are growing and getting consistent numbers. Ryoma, the only guy to debut after the Selen shock, is still struggling a bit, but he's also not catering the same audience as the majority of NijiEN is.

The speculation about who, or even what "kind" of people, would join NijiEN also feels misguided after much of the pre-debut "drama" people peddled about Ryoma was proven to be completely false. So doing the same thing again with even less to go off feels weird.
As for "who", people are speculating that Ducky might be one of them, who apart from being a bit boring and full of himself doesn't strike me as offensively "problematic".

Another thing announced at NijiFes was the 7th Anniversary Tour with, so far, seven stops throughout Japan. There will be more locations announced in the future, with some outside of Japan to make the "World Tour" title a bit more accurate.

Performers vary from location to location and, so far, they are all from JP.

The absence of any concerts between October and January makes me think that's where the international venues will fit in.

Curious how Niji thinks they are going to have a world tour. The EN audience didn't fill up the US events, so just an Asia tour? I wonder how the EN concert today sold especially since it is close to a direct comparison with the JP night concert.

Calli hasn't sold out her concert either so not the best news for NIJIEN getting anything in the West. TIX. Still, I am glad Niji is ramping up it's event schedule especially as they have plenty of people to promote. An aside, I know Kagami Hayato has been around for a while but I can't help but confuse him for Kanae every time. Also, Toru's quiet popularity is fun to see.

Despite the younger age Caitlyn has been on the internet even longer than a lot of actual hags and experienced so many failures and internet obscurity/job insecurity. Ofc she's gonna cling to this job with all her might/be happy right now.
A lot of holo graduations tend to be the "never experienced failures" type so far who gets popular in their first try so they are less attached to the corpos.

There have been several times where I was excited because an artist I liked from Japan was doing a "World Tour" only to find out it was 10 performances in Japan, one in Taiwan and Korea and maybe one in the US in rare cases. World Tour for Japanese artist just means they leave the country, not necessarily that they plan to actually cover a lot of the world.

Remember, this is the country that refers to concerts of a single band or group as "One Man Live", no matter how many people are actually on stage.
