But then I saw not the price the quantity of tea: A cute tin filled with 5 tea bags! (for €17,49)

Lets be generous here and say that those teabags are above average at 3 grams of tea per bag.
That still only makes 15g of tea per tin.

Or, to use a more common measurement when shopping for tea:
116,60 € / 100g

Thats stupid expensive, in my local tea shop I know that only the most high grade matcha teas can compete with such prices (Kagoshima Keiko Supreme Bio Matcha 116€/100g). Not the most expensive matcha but you get the idea. But those are not hand-picked half-shade matcha leaves, the Vdere teas are either aromatic black teas or just herbal.

So, for comparisons sake, lets try to find an equivalent:

Aromatic Black Tea: FLORAGOLD Bio Earl Grey - 20,70 €/100g
Herbal: Chamomile Lemon Bio - 55,00 €/120g

I don't doubt that those teas will sell fairly well, those girls are kinda popular, after all. But here I am paying more than just a small bonus to have anime girls on my product. And 5 tea bags is ridiculous, I drink 3 to 7 cups of tea a day. That tiny amount alone isnt worth it.

I'm sure there's a significant markup, but even ignoring the whole vtuber merch part entirely it's normal for a tin of teabags to cost maybe twice what the contents would cost as bulk loose leaf.

most people are not buying 100g worth of tea they are buying a tin or 2 to support their oshi of choice lets be honest your paying for the "cute tin" which ive seen priced locally anywhere between 5-20$ so hypothetically id be paying for the tin with some bonus crappy tea in.

7 is fairly normal for a "tea drinker" 3 at the major meal times (morning noon and night) and 3 more in the between times give or take an extra. on the whole coffee drinkers are worse going 10ish on average from the sample size of everyone i know even worse if you factor in they are drinking those foam cups that hold more liquid then a Teacup would. even the small.

i am the only sane tea drinker here send help.
