Not sure what model of car she has, but the fact it's severely worn down on the outer tread while the inside is practically pristine suggests she either fucked up a CV joint or a worn down bushing. I would say that she should have noticed the car handling like it's on hockey pucks, or taking much longer to stop, but given her track record with driving I'm not surprised she didn't.

The minute a "VTuber" intentionally streams (or post it in their socials) showing their actual face their VTuber card should be revoked. Speaking of kson, I believe she's also one of if not the main reason why this shit is so normalized.

I'd say Phase Connect are more along the lines of anti-idols. Anti-idols still do a lot of activities typical of idols, like meet-and-greets and concerts, but anti-idols are more about eschewing idol-like behavioural norms, pushing boundaries, and not being politically or socially "correct".

But I'm only vaguely familiar with the concept, someone more familiar with the idea can correct me if I'm mistaken.

That's basically it, yeah. "Idol" is arguably more of a style of producing and managing talent more than anything else. Anti-idols still follow this, just as Phase Connect still follows a broadly similar style of vtubing as Hololive.

I don't see any evidence that Hololive is a relic of the past, or that the market is shifting away from them. Even forgetting their past achievements or current talent sub numbers, Hololive's viewing numbers are still growing as of the end of 2024 and they're still by far the number one corpo by size and viewing numbers in the vtuber sphere.

I went to Japan recently, so my totally anecdotal view is that Hololive very clearly felt like the overall winner of the whole vtubing sphere. They have the most presence in terms of merch, collabs, they even have a store in Tokyo Station Character Street - a part of Tokyo Station that is mostly just full of small stores for mainstream properties like Ghibli, One Piece, Kamen Rider, etc. Hololive felt really mainstream, at least about as mainstream as vtubers can get. It wasn't hard to find VSPO and Nijisanji stuff, but they definitely weren't quite as omnipresent as Hololive. VSPO honestly had a more visible presence in Akihabara than Nijisanji, but this might just have been due to timing - VSPO happened to be doing both an Akihabara New Years event and a collab with some pc company that had ads up in BIC Camera stores.
