It is what she said in her recent stream, but I still have some doubts.

I have seen a couple of comments claiming that they saw some spam comments being deleted in real time, though I can't verify their statement because I don't pay enough attention to chat. Also, despite the past few examples given here, I personally feel that her current chat is much better than in the past. Back in 2021, her chat was full of tourist (probably actual children) spamming cringe comments and paragraph of emotes which has always annoyed me. The moment of when she paused her stream to ban the spammers was also from back then.

The wording on these tweets is far too woman-ish for my liking, but there's a good underlying point that seething vtweeters and small indies refuse to acknowledge: AmaLee is just overall a better pick than any of them.

I don't have particularly strong feelings toward her (aside from liking the song she did with Mori a while back), but she's been involved in online entertainment for well over a decade, has a massive portfolio of work, and has built a lot of connections with musicians, voice actors, and other vtubers. She objectively offers more value to VShojo and complements their business model much better than a typical Twitch indie nobody knows with three years' experience at best, so it would be retarded for them to not accommodate her and let her "skip the queue" if she's interested in working with them.

I'm all for mocking Zentreya whenever he tries to virtue signal for a stupid cause that doesn't matter, but the reality of the situation is that participation trophies stop being a thing once you leave school, and VShojo's talent recruitment is a business arrangement made between adults. It would be needlessly restricting to limit these decisions to what a group of vocal and entitled early-20-somethings arbitrarily and inconsistently consider "fair".

Nobody is arguing that, but the asterisk that shows up any time Vshojo brings up the totally legitimate auditions isn't going away and can't be ignored. It's almost as laughable as Ekko kissing up to be let in the cool kids club.

I'm late to the VShojo discussion, but I'm going to say my take anyway.

I feel like the whole "VShojo only hire established creator and/or their close friends" argument was indirectly caused by their own fans. Back in the days, many VShojo fans (and some of the talents too) were very rabid in preaching about how superior the VShojo model (talents retain their IP, etc) is compared to the other agencies, and how that should be the "standard" for all the agencies moving forward. So the main counter-argument against that point, is that their model only works because they only hire friends and/or already-popular creators, they wouldn't willing to risk it on some random 2views indies.

Many indies and their fans, especially those who were already anti-corpo, also worship the hell out of VShojo, claiming they are the "savior of indies" or something of that sort. The irony is that if you are a random 2view indie, you actually have a higher chance of getting into Holo, Niji, or any of the more traditional agencies, assuming if you actually have the talent.

As for me, up until they announced their second audition, I was hoping they would just embrace their status of "elite friend group", just straight-out double down on it.

This is really a problem of public image. Amalee is a talented woman that deserves to be in Vshojo.

They just need to stop giving false hope to 2views that they can enter.

Unless, and considering the audition new members haven't debuted yet, they had actually are planning to accept a 2view, a diamond in the rough, in Vshojo

Honestly, someone like Bossymoon is the kind of vtuber with small viewers who would deserve to be in Vshojo, that girls is a natural at yapping and probably the kind of talent auditions are meant to find.
