They vent like this to 'set the record straight' and gain emotional validation. Why do you think so many of them are completely addicted to /VT/ and subtweet or comment about what total anons say about them all the time? Being empirically correct isn't something that matters to them nearly as much as obtaining emotional validation, that's why their arguments are entirely solipsistic and always in the public eye. They aren't venting unless someone can see and give them what they want, which is asspats.
