The small corpo scene has been this since its inception, especially SEA based ones, although i wonder if Brave will be able to keep up the corpo buying, Idol was something that took time and some amount of money to get popular before they seemingly abandoned it

Most of what I've seen during game development was collecting those clock thingies

Definitely megaman, the gears are really just a thing that you get at the end of each level or after side-missions in the level (that bit resembles mario games with multiple stars/paths in one level). It differs from some megaman games in that not every level ends with a boss, some are puzzles, platforming or just "get to the end" to finish it. Also most levels have a little story involving a Holo talent in them, but we've been shown literally nothing of that so it's a surprise for release.

It's the same guy who made Freedom planet 1 and 2, who's the lead dev, animator and sound designer lol, and some of the other people from their team are also pitching in with some stuff. Though unlike FP this isn't a sonic clone, kronii can move quickly but nowhere near as fluid as a sonic-style game.

there is no company like brave buying out corpos since the small corpo inception, especially SEA based ones. My favorite is that one anime card/manga shop randomly opened a vtuber corpo for no reason. I dont think they aimed to sell since they arent even a real corpo. You know the one that demand vtuber to pay back their laptop?
Noone started a vtuber corpo in 2021 expecting Hololive/Nijisanji to buy them out.

Most SEA ones just dies because there is no real market for vtuber in SEA and there's no company dumb enough to buy one of those startups that make no money.
Tbf most EN ones just dies too and noone buys them

As much as you hate brave, they aren't completely stupid and are not blindly purchasing random corpos. They don't just buyout any random micro corpos with 3 vtubers in it started by some dumb guy with no financial sense, no manager, no staffs, just the CEO forcing their talent to play overwatch with him. Brave actually fish for the "big" and more established ones. They don't even care about the vtubers in it (Idol letting bin benrose go for example). Whom they care about is the staff, people who knows how to navigate the industry/handling merches/etc. That was why they went for Idol.

Idol's staff were incompetent idiots with a turnover rate of one or two every month or so though. The 'best' one they ever had managed to get groomed by a skeletal psycho and got them both terminated. That was the high point.

Yeah... the only "competent" agencies Brave has really bought out are Lara and VSPO, the others are all random shit. My dad and I (two white bread ass people)both were able to beat separate files of it years back but yeah it was rough sometimes so many misheard commands really cool concept for a game tho I hope it gets a good remake

They really should honestly remake Lifeline with modern vocal recognition, the game has some very interesting concepts to it and was really ahead of its time. Only issue is they'd have to nail the voice acting + direction to actually pull the ideas behind it off, the banter with Rio has to be believable for things to work. Make it a bit closer to voice controlled XCom rather than yelling "attack head, attack third leg, reload" and you'd be able to make something great.
