The version of Madou Monogatari 1 she'll be playing is the PC Engine CD one, there's been a lot of versions of that game and they're all very different, with Mega Drive version only retaining the plot and a general idea of being a dungeon crawler. This one is fairly traditional with only minor changes and improvements, which is good if she decides to continue the series.
