Nope. CoE is only for your initial entry visa (it's issued for use by a Japanese embassy overseas), not for renewal.

It's issued by the regional MOJ immigration office.

Maybe for a CoE but certainly not for a renewal. Officially speaking the application is made by the individual who wants the visa or a lawyer acting on their behalf. Certain documents are meant to be written and stamped by the company but the overall application is the individual's.

The form for extension or changing status is the exact same as COE with a different header.
Sure, an application is individual-specific, but I've never heard of a company filling out their side of the app materials then letting you finish and submit it.
IDK what's your point, the immigration office is going to be very confused if you're submitting paperwork yourself.
