About the boys, Magni was the guy who was shining the most during collabs. People liked him so much because he was able to carry the collabs in a really entertaining way. Just look at the TTRPG collab Calli made. It was really foolish of him to think the audience would follow him if they lost their favorite part of him. I domt dislike Lando but he is just not my cup of tea and acting like a bitch about the doki situation isnt gonna give him any pity points.

Concerning Vesper, well pretty much everything has already been said in the previous posts. He still is the autistic gramps as Randon, but more gayer.
Still miss them a lot as holostars members but not enough to go through their faggy moments.

Pretty much ditto what everybody else said here. Lando is, frankly, a child. He's petty and was unable to handle having a leash on him as much as he should have. If he'd realized that having less freedom was better for his creativity he could've stuck it out.

Ves/Randon was too volatile though, and it was pretty clear near the end of his contract with Holo that he just straight-up is unable to handle authority in general, let alone the autism JP corporations have about everything. I'm still upset at him for tossing away two excellent models but I hate him far less than Lando. Ves was just a schizo; Mag was an actual baby.

I feel like Lando and Randon really just hyper-focused and the shit they weren't allowed to do instead of trying to work with the shit they were allowed to. I agree with this. It does seem like they focused on all of the bad shit. This from all the offhand comments Randon has made about being able to play whatever the fuck he wants vs having to deal with perms. I think Ves's problem had more to do with how JP handles things. As someone that worked in one of those boring-ass it/tech jobs I dont think the issue was just authority. On those jobs you get a lot of shit from management and sometimes even from clients. My guess is that the issue was not the pressure but him having to wait for JP corpo bullshit. Bureocracy in JP is beyond retarded and that is what pissed him off the most. While the whole idol thing is often quoted as being a possible reason, I feel like he could've made it. His Shinigami cover proves that he can atleast bullshit his way through the whole performing thing and still do a really good job at it.

I havent been able to watch much of Randon (used to watch daily at around afternoon for his zatsus). Dude was really good to listen to while I worked.

Pretty sure Magni was doing singing lessons and whatnot so I doubt the idol part also bothered him. He does seem like the type to have a hard time doing schedules and having to ask management for perms for every single shit he wanted to do. I wonder how much of this was that one of them wanted to quit and the other was also somewhat dissatisfied and also decided to quit in solidarity.

As for the Doki thing. Its will never be the same. Doki got fucked over by her company. While maybe Lando had to deal with cancelled projects and whatnot it was never as bad as what happened to Doki. As much as I agree with the sentiment, there’s also Matara who seems to be pulling in 5-7k after switching to Twitch and folks like Onigiri and Sayu who are doing well simulcasting on both platforms. I think Lando himself doesn’t have that appeal for his Holo followers to follow him.

Next person to lookout for is Quinn’s debut next week. If he does well by going back to being a VTuber it wouldn’t surprise me if Lando follows suit.

I don't think Holo has a clean record in any case, no corpo does imo. Heck, I'd be surprised if their contract would even be up to amerifat standards.
All in all Niji wasn't killed by Selen leaving, that was just the culmination of an entire year of shit of which this was the final straw. Holo hasn't gotten shoah'd imo because any tards wanting for attention know that the company is just too well liked atm. Maybe a big enough yab would rile some people up, specially those who don't care for or already hate the company, but you'd still have a shitload of people defending them, the only way to kill a big corpo is to grind away at the patience and trust of their fans.

It's actually funny going back all the way and looked. Back in the days, Hololive was known as the turbulent corpo where almost every month there's a drama here or there surrounding them. They were ranked as the bottom of corpo rankings
Nowadays it get attached with the clean title only because Holo managed to survive out of every corpos and become the 2nd? biggest. But if you list every drama they have since the beginning they would easily rivals Nijisanji or even outright beating them due to consistency, (just looking at the quantity, not the quality)

It's times like this where I find NDAs especially annoying because while I get it in a general sense, unless Cover were literally selling puppies to Chinese meat farms to fund their operations it'd probably cause less drama if he were able to just state the facts in full, rather than having to skirt around particular details. I fucking hate vagueposting but at the same time I can't be entirely mad at Lando for wanting to say something, since there are a decent chunk of people who saw the (also vague) graduation notice and assumed the worst. Maybe he and Vesper were acting like menhera women, but maybe they genuinely were assigned particularly bad managers and had a worse experience because of it. We'll never know.

Transparency (in earnest, not le meme PR sense) over graduations/terminations is a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation for both parties. If the reasons for leaving are disclosed then it's a one-sided account which can be picked apart and spun uncharitably against either the corpo or talent, but a generic, professional notice just allows the most sensational rrat to become the accepted canon version of events within certain portions of the audience, essentially defaming someone by omission.

Judging by past records, Hololive's NDAs served well to protect both parties since they dont do character assassinations like Nijisanji. These are very emotional women (vesper/magni included) that could have said things that they shouldn't have said and would stuck with them their entire career.
Case in point Mikeneko trying to flame Aqua and Shion as she left, or throwing shit at Henya. If she was given free range, no idea how many people she would attack and it would end up looking way worse for her. Delutaya also regretted her time when she got terminated and wasn't of good mind as she was unaliving. She thrived now because she shook off that past and relatively nothing stuck to her from back then. Almost every time a termination happened, vtubers bring out the "pet dies so they were emotionally gone" story, whether it's true or not, they could easily said something self-destructive in the moment and can haunt their entire career like Froot is dealing with years later. Or how people still on Gwelos's ass for the pekora shit. Vtuber fans do not forgive and forget easily.

NDA works well if it's a MUTUAL thing where the talents get to negotiate what the company can and cant say about them. Nijisanji and most corpos just abuse the system though and unilaterally demand their terms so that they can character assassinate people.

Quoting you since you mentioned the stream near the tail end, and I was writing this up for after it ended.

Momo has finally been able to work up to stream after her long break due to surgery. She states that following her return from korea, that she has been infected multiple times and has fallen ill without any breaks over the near month or so she has returned from overseas. Her surgeries have went well, but her sleep schedule is in shambles because of all of the medication she has been taking post surgery. Her throat (thyroid) is not the source of infection, it is her abdomen at the moment. Medication is needed to regulate her thyroid levels. She will state the abdomen cause at a later time but the thyroid issue was described previous to her absence.

She is currently in medical bill hell (even after donothon money and everything), She states the dumdums (her fanname) saved her life as it let her go through with these surgeries. She kind of loses her train of thought due to the recent surgery and medication... so she at times throughout the stream asks chat what she was talking about. States korean food is better than american food and was disappointed when she came back.

as a side note, she has been keeping up with her fans artworks they have commissioned while she is gone. she is impressed people still watch and comments about her and on her member asmr's despite her absence. To be fair he needed that holiday as he had been working nonstop since the start of that year (he said it as so during the last few streams he did before the hiatus afaik) so I don't really fault him on skipping possible moneymaker month, he is the biggest menhera out of all stars by far but he's not willing to engage in further drama if it gets bigger (ie. when people starts getting weird about his constant collab with Yozuna Niu) and have a perfectionist personality on top of everything

That aside, Rikka just announced that he will be doing another VTuber Singing Champion in May. There will be some changes as to how the project will be done this time so he'll elaborate on it more at the next stream.
He's also planning to add a commercial-like section where he showcases various song MVs from any VTuber (Think of the infamous VTuber utagassen or Azki's old VTuber artist showcase project) and is currently looking for any interested VTubers



He thanked everyone's immense support during the first one and is the reason why he could run another one, hoping this could be a regular project from now on since it does pull up massive numbers back then.
